Congratulations to Matt Spangher on his new role
Just went into the other thread and realised someone made this exact joke hours ago.

Sucked in Unorth I still got likes

Nathan Brown will always be. Although I have warmed to him since learning more about his situation when he left.
Ryan Griffen probably deserves it more.
Dunkley is just another Marcus Adams, Joel Hamling type.

Griffen shouldn’t be on the list. Forced into captaincy, made to play like a plough horse which shorten his career and left so we got rid of the problem at the club. Had he stayed, no Bevo no premiership

Looking more like Brisbane, they won’t have an early first round pick.
Darcy Gardiner as a Morris type defender and a late first round pick might be the best we will get.
Comes out of contract this year.

Must admit

Its refreshing seeing Jackson just nominate W.A instead of a club (at this point in stage)

If you want to head home, have all the options
I don't see a scenario where he ends up anywhere but Freo. Lobb, Logue and Acres already out the door to free up the room for him.

Maybe and most likely but you cannot discount West Coast either. They may have the better trade capital whether they want to use it or not is another discussion

Franklin going to GWS all along until Swans trumped them all

Unsure why there's so much interest to go for Logue. The guy has the physical tools but just no footy IQ. He cant crack into Freo's back 6 as it is and has been thrown forward as a hail mary. He's more of Tim O'Brien than Dale Morris...

Ethan Phillips won the Fothergill-Round-Mitchell medal which is generally a good sign that they're quality. 196cm defender that can lockdown and reads the play well but also has good footskills.

I reckon he'd be worth chasing with a pick in the main draft.

He can't crack their back 6 might be a bit too simplistic. They have one of the best back 6's in the comp, and had very few injuries down there this year. Pearce, Cox, Ryan, Chapman and Young and a very impressive group and adding Logue there makes them too tall. He's a really solid back who can play on mediums and talls successfully, forced to play fwd due to the Dockers lack of healthy tall fwd options but he is a below average fwd IMO.

Basically surplus to Fremantle's needs as a key back, but would likely be our best or close to it as a very solid B+ KPD. He's still pretty young and developing too when you considering how long KPPs take a lot of the time.

Means he has no value to us so why include him?
If we took him as a FA it would wipe out any potential JJ compo.
Decent player but I'd be asking for Payne or Lohmann in the first instance if a player is going to be included.

Whats the JJ compo at best a 3rd rounder? It's not like we are losing a 1st round compo here

McCartney was such a knob. People think Beveridge can be hard to listen to, go watch any of our press conferences in 2013/14.

The media would try talk up players like Bont and Macrae and he’d try talk them down saying they’re just “players”.

No wonder things turned around so quickly.
I remember he dropped Macrae after a mid 20 possession game. Nobody that young was getting pill like Jacko.
He comes back gets a couple of 30 p games. Nothing different.
But Macca believed he had to work on something, never said what, just something.
I will say he was a prick but he developed a contested ball mentality which was the base of 2016 flag.

Yep you make some fair points regarding the quality of the Dockers backline. It has been a consistent back 6 that has performed well. But i live in Perth, surrounded by Dockers mates and have watched a lot of his matches. And the wash up, my opinion is that he's just not that good. As for my purple clad warrior mates, they're really not that phased if he stays or goes either. I know our backline has been very porous this season, but if we think he'd become our back key back, then we'll be mightily disappointed.
