I think this is Zgope's point though. If we expect a bid at 15ish, we would end up with pick 10 and a future first, and could trade 17 back for points and a future asset. That doesn't sound half bad. This trade seems to foresee a bid in the first ten, but we aren't covered off for that situation. Will see how it unfolds.
True. But after McKay compo and 4 possible academy, f/s bids, pick 10 could easily end up 15.

He’s not worth pick 83 in my humble opinion . Can’t even believe they were offered pick 23 , and am double can’t believe they had the nerve to knock it back !!!!!

Ginnivan strikes me as one of those early-flash-in-the-pan-then-fade-into-irrelevance-like-jaidyn-stephenson types. No thanks.
Jake Stringer was right there to make your post perfect. I is disappoint.

I agree we shouldn’t go for Ginnivan but in no way did we “trade the farm” this morning.

Also the draft wasn't this morning, Watson could easily get picked by North or the Hawks and we end up with a Sanders or Duursma instead so we haven't added any more small forwards to the list as of yet.

So the bids get matched at 2, 8 and 12 which pushes each subsequent pick back by one respectively.
That's before we consider McKay's compo pick to North (probably pick 3).

Our pick 17 gets blown out to the early 20s, especially if Casher Dear gets bid on before it as well.
Before the trade, wouldn't GC pick 4 be used to match a bid on Walter at 2, we drop 1 slot after the Read bid, and Rodgers bid could be after our pick at 11.
If Essendon pay their usual shitty trade hand, they will pay for McKay under a pick 3 compo, which would possible means norf match.

Weren’t we confident that “Power has never traded a F1 so it was never going to happen?
Also doesn’t the elements of the trade ( 17 gone, late picks back) point to the “certainty “ that Croft has indicated he will nominate us?

Because Cody should be a medium forward.

Watson and Clarke the smalls.

Club is pretty bullish on Clarke.

Also potentially hoping Watson can push up into the midfield a bit
Bullish on Clarke? I didn't get around to watching much VFL this year, what's the status on his 1st year form?

Doesn't look like a good trade on paper.
Pick 10, 17 and a future first rounder for pick 4 + some late draft picks.

Obviously they have a player in mind for pick 4.
3 1st round picks gets you in the conversation for an AA, our win mode should be now to fit The Bont's timeline.
It would would be a travesty if he only wins 1 premmie.

Friend of a friend's cousins, sister's ex's brother spotted JUH walking into or maybe out of Melbourne Airport or maybe he was visiting the wave pool... that's Tullamarine.

JUH to the Bombers confirmed.

Barrett reckons Hawthorn and Geelong will give a loaded offer to us for Bailey Smith.
