Not true at all. It was a fantastic heated matchup and both had their moments head to head.

Rowell - 25 disposals, 8 tackles, 6 clearances and 15 contested possessions
Libba - 20 touches, 1 goal, 9 tackles, 7 clearances and 9 contested possessions.

Fair, my memory must have been off. It must have just been that he didn't smash us

Basically won us a final against Sydney on one leg.

He doesn't like the limelight though. Simple guy who wants the quiet life.
Was very good when it counted. Tried to raise alarm bells and was not listened to by those at the club. Strange he is the villain amongst our support when it was shown the club had much more to answer to than he did. Hope he is welcomed back

Crossley last year looked like he was playing eastern footy league division 2. His body is nowhere near AFL quality. Unless he’s had a big off season…
Was the best ruck in the VFL last year though. Can't argue with performance.

Mumford vibes, who walked into the system at 130kgs and once he shed the weight (down to around 110kg) he was very very effective.

If anything, Timmy will be sharper rucking against Crossley than he will be rucking against Gardner (which is the current pre-season scenario). If anything, I hope Crossley keeps training with us for that reason alone.

After all the crap news we have all gotten during the summer about injuries and JUH. Hopefully we all get some great news about Bont and Richards Re-signing soon
If there are any two players we have that I'm confident will stay, they are the two.

His fitness (or lack of it) is the kicker.

If he was the best ruck in the VFL last year when allegedly in poor shape how good will he be with 12 months under our fitness gurus?

Remember we might be recruiting him more for 2026 and beyond rather than for 2025.

That’s assuming we do actually recruit him.

And it’s assuming he’s committed to reaching and maintaining an AFL standard of fitness.

I just wonder what's caused the escalation in recent months. The club would've been aware for at least 12 months I'd expect, even I saw problems a few days before Round 1 last year
I would say so. I was hearing things as far back as round 3-4 last year. After the elimation final last year, it seems to have got worse.

When I first read that Crossley had an invitation to the camp, I assumed it was because we needed another tall due to no JUH and having a ruckman come in would help with drills and mainly match sim, without sacrificing where we want Lobb & Darcy to mainly play.

That’s due to needing 40+ people running around, when that drops down to 23 it’s a different story. I’d love Bevo to have changed his tune about rucks, but I don’t think that is the case and I’m still not expecting us to look at genuinely recruiting Crossley.

I would say that a few of our more vocal fans, and trolls from other clubs would have had a go at him on the socials, which wouldn’t have helped.

FWIW we spoke to some Bulldog supporters with good connections to the club, six months ago, who were adamant he would be a Tassie marquee player signing.
