For whatever the reason so is JUH at the moment.

Have looked anything but stupid after exhausting options in the past as well set out by BulldogMuscle
There's a difference between Dunkley, Smith and JUH compared to Dalhaus, Stringer and Hunter. You can't just lump them all in the same category and assume getting rid of them was the right move because the club got a few right

You're right Stringer was an AA when he left Bailey Dunks and Marra aren't

Your the only one who is lumping them together. Your also the one talking about some cultural issue based on the VIBE with no evidence at all

Dunkley is a professional footballer, plays at his peak for whoever is employing him. As set out by BulldogMuscle was not going to get that with us so chose to move on. Coming back our way which is the other side of trading we did get a bloke called for a steal the year before in Trealor.

Smith has had one good game, will reserve judgement in the longer term but many at the club are not unhappy with him going, the angst is towards the Cats for gaming the system under the AFL's nose.

If Marra wants to go then that’s ok. He has to do what is best for him at the end of the day.

Same goes for the club if it feels they need to trade him. No problem.

Just not to Geelong.
Unfortunately, it's looking like Geelong is where he will request to be traded to.

I can understand why it would be immensely grating for your supporter group.

What you will hope to receive and what Geelong would be willing to give will be gulfs apart.

The issues (rumours) JUH is dealing with is of great concern from a recruitment perspective.

Personally, JUH to the Cats is a pass at this stage. He seems like a massive liability.

Conversely, if he manages his issues and plays some solid minutes this year, his value would increase massively.

For mine, at the point where he's proven he's not a liability is the point his value would exceeded what I'd be willing to pay.

I wish the young man all the best. He seems troubled and I'm sure your club is doing everything possible to help him.

Dunkley almost won us a 2nd flag and was our BnF winner in the 2 years after he was traded,

The picks would've netted us Nik Cox and Zach Reid and unless we traded them out again would've been useless picks regardless

Can you contact the club and let them know if our future picked players will turn out to be any good? Im sure they will want to know in advance so they can plan accordingly. :)

Dunks is an unusual case - most wobbly players are wobbly for a reason. "dont want to behere" dosent usualy equate to 100% commitment on the field and the training track

Those picks would have been absorbed by JUH

Those picks would've also been swallowed up by the Jamarra bid so was never an attractive offer.

Cant remember exactly but wasnt the dons mid first rounder on the table for dunkley? pick 8 or something? If you dont want to take a high pick to the draft, its still a good trading resource, one way or the other. Cant remember if we were interested in any players that year (we're interested in different players every year I assume) but pick 8 is not bad for shaking trees, either that year or the next

With JUH going at 1 we never had a strong trade hand that year for Dunkley. Why it is frustrating now with JUH we sold the farm for him

Based on what? Most of this is a guess.

Cats have been white anting us with JUH the same way they did with Smith, whom they've admitted they were ''working on'' for a couple of years.

Slime of a club these days.

Might be a good one for us to add in the MSD if he shows a bit early on.

Was he the kid from near Lethbridge way? He was mentioned in the draft thread as a potential rookie

My God, it's Groundhog Day.

So, do let us know how you are privy to a) Jamarra's desire to leave the Bulldogs and b) his desire to get to Geelong.

Regardless of what people think of them, we did that for Smith, Dunkley, Hunter, Dahlhaus and now potentially JUH

This forum is a beautiful place sometimes

THE WESTERN Bulldogs have appointed Port Adelaide recruiter Michael Regan as their new player acquisition and strategy manager

The data specialist, who has been at the Power for more than a decade, has won the role as the Dogs settle their recruiting and list department after a series of changes in the off-season.

He will take on the recruiting and list role in a reshaped department following list manager Sam Power's elevation to be the Dogs' football manager and the departure of recruiting manager Dom Milesi to a role outside of the AFL industry.

The Dogs also added to their department by bringing in former Geelong, Richmond and Carlton recruiter Luke Williams to their scouting team.

The rest of your post seemed reasonable.

But opening with this, when all you're doing is repeating media BS on OUR board, means the only appropriate reply is...

"F*** off, and don't come back."

Cheerio. 😀

Since your question didn't specify exactly what you were reaponding to, I will take a stab that you asking me to validate his reported likelihood of requesting a trade to Geelong.

It would be a combination of factors; namely the (albeit unreliable) AFL media landscape reporting, combined with him having been brought up in Warrnambool.

There are many rumours swirling around, and many are likely to be rubbish. However, a few on our board often know tidbits which have historically turned out to be correct.

What has been discussed on our board is that Geelong had been in very close contact with JUH well before he was drafted, with dialogue having remained consistent since then.

I don't understand the hostility? Supporters of your club have been welcome to post on the equivalent thread on our forum.

I am not here to get a rise out of anybody and have intended to discuss the matter in good faith with respectful dialogue.
