Buku?Williams
He’s not in the best shape by all reports. Sounds like he’s taken the piss over summer.Bit of gloss might come off Reid this year and expectations may become a bit more realistic. The most hyped draftee of all time, going to take a lot to go right just to get close to living up to it.
Lifestyle choice?Geelong don’t get every player they want, our own McCrae turned them down in favour of living in leafy Melbourne.
Geelong would sue him for, umm, territorial defamation if he knocked them back because of 'lifestyle'...Lifestyle choice?
I think Buss is a better chance of playing with both Jones and Lobb in. I reckon the coaches will try and protect him with two key pillars.Problem is Jones is likely back next week
Personally I'd have Khamis on Cox. About the same mobility and Khamis can make up for the hight difference with his leap.Buku?
Yep, absolutely it would. Probably 2025 1st, 2026 1st + something else. Rowell and Butters were just examples but if Geelong are lining him up, not only will they target him, they plan ahead and move picks to ensure they pay unders. They know once the player nominates them, they get their man regardless.Rowell or Butters will cost them significantly more than a 2026 first round pick.
And they will only have to pay him 500kYep, absolutely it would. Probably 2025 1st, 2026 1st + something else. Hard not to be cynical when talking about that mob down the highway![]()
Cynical? The way AFL house lets them behave is genuinely killing my love of football.Yep, absolutely it would. Probably 2025 1st, 2026 1st + something else. We aren't going to be able to defend them, that's very obvious - not when you consider that we've really only got the one recognised one on one small-medium defender in Duryea, and they've got 3-4 good to very good small forwards.Who goes to de Goey when he plays forward?
I'm genuinely concerned about our defence. That's before we consider how poor Duryea was last week.

It needs to be won in the midfield, if we're able to restrict them, whilst being able to get the ball forward enough I do like our chances, Daicos aside, I think our midfields stack up fairly well against one another, but Daicos is a pretty difficult prospect to just cast aside.
I'm not sure if I want the rain to continue or stop though.
Freijah is the only similar profile that has defensive experience. We'd sacrifice his run and carry thoughWho goes to de Goey when he plays forward?

He chose Far Kew which is all those arseholes deserve down thereHmm
Hard choice to make Corio or Kew….![]()
I'm not really into it,but I understand it's an actual thing, rather than filler or garbage.Gettable is two AFL 'journos' (I guess) to create clickbait fake outrage content for their bosses to keep people talking.
Once upon a time not all that long ago, the focus between March and September was on the actual matches, you know the wins and losses, the performances....
Now it's just as much about player movement and not even players out of contract or out of favour, it's pie in the sky stuff about what may or may not happen at some stage possibly down the track, if all goes well.
It's all just pure filler, utter garbage, but that's the world we live in. The Gettable sort of guff does nothing for the game.
There’s a guy on our injury list, Bont, who I think could end up like a left-footed FreijahWe need to duplicate Freijah so we can have one in the midfield and one in defence
I dunno.Hmm

Why go the magic bean route when you can get a known quantity 1st rounder for a late 2nd or 3rdI just can’t understand how it is ok to contact a contracted player?
I just can’t understand why it is allowed for recruiters from other clubs to make contact with contracted players? I mean, contact through the manager but not the player directly.
The other point is, Geelong must contact a heap of players over the year, they are certainly not focused on the draft.
You mean Jacques? We badly need to look for a Duryea replacement via trade or drafting. He's looking very old out there lately and a small defender who can stop small forwards is probably our biggest weakness in defence.
