I doubt we pick up 2 in the trade period.
5 in the draft means we would be picking very late.
We seem to be having a fair few changes. I don't think 9 is a good idea
Looooooooooong bowJack Macrae is also managed by Connors
So Jamarra has agreed to a one million a year deal that begins in 2027.He means in 2 years..
Isn't Macrae contracted for another 2 years?Have you been living under a rock or something
Ugle-Hagan remains in red, white and blue
Emerging key forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension.www.westernbulldogs.com.au
I don't think it's necessarily true.So Jamarra has agreed to a one million a year deal that begins in 2027.
Lol.
I don't know if they teach you this at school or not, but there's a difference between a player requesting a trade and one that hasn't.Isn't Macrae contracted for another 2 years?
JUH wouldn’t have Re-signed if he wanted to leave in 2 yearsIsn't Macrae contracted for another 2 years?
Don't be silly mate - it makes more sense for Jamarra to earn less money for the next 2 years for literally no reason.could of easily left at the end of this year and take up that offer way Re-sign and leave after 2 years
We wouldn't be going full North, I'm not suggesting getting rid of 10 - 12 players and cutting all our older players. Geelong is a good example of cutting deep enough, but not too deep and filling some of those late picks with good state league players towards the back end of the draft.
I'm suggesting we make 7 - 9 list changes, that amount depends on what happens during the trade period. I'd take 2 in the trade period if possible, 5 younger players through the draft and 2 state league players (or possibly leave a spot open for a mid season pick mid year and just pick one state league player this year) would be my ideal trade and draft period.
I would love to get Uncle Colin involved.Agree with the mentoring sentiment around JUH, he probably needs it in two ways, forward craft and life skills.
I know there isn’t perceived drama around him but I think he could still go down the route of Smith and get quite ego social media driven. He’s got a big profile now but he could genuinely be one of the biggest and most marketable stars in a couple of years.
I know it’s cliche but the club should really reach out to someone of indigenous background to help him along. Maybe a Burgoyne or Betts even get Varcoe back in some capacity, from what I’ve heard the boys loved him.
Connors is on record saying he encourages his players to do 6 years before considering a move as you are giving the club that drafts you half of your career.could of easily left at the end of this year and take up that offer way Re-sign and leave after 2 years
I see frustration from JUH. If our forward system worked towards isolating him then he is very hard to defend and will get easier shots at goal. At the moment he continually has to work hard to get free for no reward as we bomb the ball on his head and then he looks at opposition forwards who get easy lead up marks. This is on our coaching group to fix.I'd get rid JUH now while he has value doesn't tackle doesn't chase can't kick 100 goals 88 points.
Looks disinterested to me you may on the money ajarwa.
Not all players do the 6 years Adam Cerra left Fremantle after 4 seasonsConnors is on record saying he encourages his players to do 6 years before considering a move as you are giving the club that drafts you half of your career.
him signing for two more years takes him to six years total.
Baz is leaving us after only signing a two year deal, taking him to 6 years with us.
Watching yesterday, it had zero to do with setups, much more to do will ball movement
Brisbane can either move the ball quick or build up patiently. It works mainly due to excellent skills and hitting targets and great movement by those without the ball both offensively and defensively.
Player personnel wise their mids work better as a group with spread, and importantly good skills.
It is why we improved with Richards becoming part of the mix and we need to keep building more quality through the middle.
Our backline is developing and fine, our forward line needs one genuine small forward who could finish and a forwards coach.
Players who do not have good skills shouldn't be there. Those with good skills need to work on their pressure.
Unless there are significant issues with JUH there is not a chance in hell I would trade him. I would have him mentored and supported to work on his flaws, and we have 2 more seasons to get that right.
Small Backs,.wings, mids and Small forwards with speed AND skills. If we can't trade draft them and continue developing those who improved this season.

Yeah I know. What I’m saying is that Connors encourages them to do 6 years before considering a move. Not all players do the 6 years Adam Cerra left Fremantle after 4 seasons
Didn’t he manage Dunkley as well?Lol Connors managed Lachie Hunter and still manages Jake Stringer.
There's a pattern there.
Nah that’s Liam Pickering.Didn’t he manage Dunkley as well?
Now that this grand final that noone gives a stuff about is done (lol Shitney), we can now get to the period we all care about.
What is our state of play?
Targets: O'Halloran, Peatling (unlikely), Houston (very unlikely)
Trade: Macrae (sad), Smith (good riddance), maybe Daniel, Garcia (hopefully not)
Only about an hour a day of talking crap. The rest is ads.Trade Radio starts tomorrow that should be fun hours and hours talking crap
Let’s wait and see, if we’re cooking something in the background and want the money off the books we may expect a little less.I think there’s a high chance Macrae will stay as Saints don’t want to give up 43.
