A broken clock has more correct info than Josh Jenkins, would have to be one of the worst there is.
As for Kymbo, most of the crows mouthpieces here in SA have NFI 99% of the time.

Make it stopppp

He's not wrong. We're not gonna be happy about it, but he's not wrong.

If we were on the other side of the deal there is absolutely no way that anybody here is offering more than that.

Plenty of examples of more reasonable deals being done for OOC players. Most other clubs deal in good faith. Does this not apply to the Cats?

Jack Martin off to Geelong as well, to never miss another game again no doubt

GARCIA CLOSING ON CALL

WESTERN Bulldogs small forward Riley Garcia is closing in on making a call on his future, with a decision expected this week.

Garcia has been weighing his future, with the Dogs having a two-year contract offer in front of him.

AFL.com.au's Inside Trading reported last month Port Adelaide, West Coast, St Kilda and North Melbourne had expressed varying levels of interest in Garcia, who has been looking for more midfield opportunities.
The trade requests from Jack Macrae and Bailey Smith could open up those chances at his current club, although the Dogs are also chasing GWS midfield pair James Peatling and Xavier O'Halloran.

Garcia kicked five goals from 12 games this year and is among a group of small forwards who have been considering their options this trade period.

Peatling and Garcia would compliment the midfield well.

in all seriousness here, can someone provide a genuine and detailed reason as to why we are never in contention for players, why we aren’t a “destination club” and why we are always overlooked…

I would love for someone to provide an extensive list as to why (opinion based or factual)

I’m curious as to what people think honestly.
Because it’s so disheartening that we here teams want to go to North, Geelong, Carlton and the other vic clubs etc.

It's really not that big a deal, but some journo/editor has just lazily written "small forward" as his position which reminds you how little these people know about the ins and outs of the AFL and its players yet people trust the journos judgements on these things.

It's partly because we're simply a historically small club.

It's often because idea of getting the big name expensive player is just dumb tactic and we're far better at identifying a position of need, and having an ongoing dialogue with their manager to fit them in the team rather than suddendly realise a player is out of contract at the end of the year and decide that we have to have them in the off-season when we didn't necessarily want them in the middle of the year.

Just recruiting players because they're an "B+ player and we have the cap room" leads to bad list planning, a disjointed team, disharmony, and a lack of development for young draftees because you don't have a plan and role for how they will graduate to the main team (see Essendon).

Often these sorts of players don't have the appearance of being in demand by multiple clubs but that's only because they've had their heart set on us or their existing club well in advance of the trade period because we've sold them a role in best 22/wider squad, rather than just winning them over with money + club reputation.

When the odd opportunity does pop up (Treloar) we're clearly the victors in that sort of trade.

Jones, Lobb, O'Brien, Hannan, Martin, Bruce, Keath, Crozier are all players that we recruited with this method.

Take e.g. Keath who was highly regarded in the industry and considered to by other clubs that we did an excellent acquisition at the time we made it. Those other clubs just never realistically had a chance because we recruited him in a highly effective manner that never gave them a look in.

That reputation was beneficial when Bruce's manager basically shopped him to us, rather than the other way around, because much of our footy department led by Bevo was considered well-run for his interests. Same with Lobb.

All about him isn’t it. Publicly requests a trade an hour before the clubs best and fairest.
Wouldn't expect anything else from a player who posted a photo of him sitting in their manager's office to his social media on the final day of trade week last year to generate hype of a potential trade.
