That is one of the worst title's of an article ever. Thorp-edoed. Interesting that they delisted him with a year to run on his contract. He was hyped big time by Hawks fans, saying how great he was, but couldnt get a game ahead of the two best young forwards in the league blah, blah.
Certainly worth a look, maybe a team like North will have a go at him before us though.
It sounded like he didn't really gel in Melbourne and may well end up back in WA. Unfortunately Freo will get picks below us in both the PSD and rookie drafts and as a 194cm KP player you would think the Dockers would jump at him without a 2nd thought.
Perfect example of a mature age rookie.
Thorp would be a great aquisition.
Apparently his injury setback history has been described by Hawthorn officials as "horrific".
If he could get on the park, it would certainly be worth it.
Little chance of it happening though, unless we decided to use the PSD and have to delist someone.
Very strange decision by the Hawks. Do they really need 5 picks in the draft, especially considering how late their picks ae after tradig for Gibson and Burgoyne?
Maybe the prognosis is worse than first thought?
Apparently bad attitude and misdemeanours are one of the reasons he was let go, but haven't heard anything official.
Is this a similar case to Hislop last year. All these reports about attitude and misdemeanours?
An up himself forward from Hawthorn? Surely not!Word was that Thorp was up himself but then a lot of good forwards are.
There probably is more to it.
Either way, pretty sweet year to have a PSD pick.
Davis and Will Sullivan are yet to decide whether to accept offers to remain on West Coast's rookie list for a third year or nominate for the national draft.
Adam Cockie must also decide whether to sign on for a second year as a rookie.
All three players have attracted interest from other clubs and must make up their minds by tomorrow.

Interesting no mention of Wilson. I think no news may be bad news in this case
Seems a good attitude is pretty important.
Forward Tony Notte was well off the pace set by his teammates.
While the leading players finished the 1km runs in 3min. 40sec. and most were under four minutes, Notte trailed badly and took more than five minutes to complete the last two runs.
C'mon Tony.
Hey was this guy giving shit to me about my Jmac post which happened to proven correct not more than 5 days afterwards? Serious question as most of the post was deleted quite obviously.Keyser, ive just got home and you woudnt believe it, ive lost my key to the big p!ssing contest thread. Mate did i give you my spare key to the thread?
No thanks to the rest of that post, Pissing thread is over - larri
He is not leaving. Also in regards to his not tall mark, his strength more than enough makes up for this. Besides that hes only 4cm shorter than JK so imo he is quite tall.I'd say if Wilson had told the club he wont be returning then Suma would have made mention of it.
I dont really see the fuss with Wilson. I'd be fine with keeping him on as a rookie but he doesnt deserve a senior spot on the list. A forward who is not overly tall and pretty much a non-event on the ground is not exactly the combination of a superstar at AFL level. The defenders will spoil him quite easily (at 190cm) and it would be run away from him with ease.
you try lugging around that enormous frame
This is the same reason Bones has been forced out of the starting 22 when it seemed he was a certain pick every week. I was surprised when I found out but apparently hes a tool. Coaches are only human, they are not going to pick dick heads. Then there was Darren Pfiffer, who was drafted early by Adeliade, delisted after a year or 2, picked up in the rookie draft by Carlton and let go at the end of this year.

I thought that was just an opposition thing - i.e. he's a mouthy twat on the field but an alright bloke off itThis is the same reason Bones has been forced out of the starting 22 when it seemed he was a certain pick every week.
