I am disappointed that Broomhead hasn't been able to secure a spot, not being selected this week with 3 forced changes is not a good sign for him.

Hopefully I'm wrong and he's given another opportunity next week.

In time Moore should be that but it might be 2 or more seasons away and nothing is a certainty.

If the price is right you'd look at Darling but I wouldn't sell the farm for him.

I don't think trying to land a big name ever actually works out.

So guys like Lynch are pie in the sky stuff.

A guy like Michael Close would be worth sniffing around. He is a Victorian, has been overtaken at the Lions by Hipwood and perhaps Schache too. Hasn't got a decent run at it since doing his knee in 2015...could be worth bringing onto the list and wouldn't cost the earth.

Should look to Melbourne again, Weid might be worth a chat. If McDonald stays forward he might struggle for opportunities with Hogan,McDonald and Watts probably all ahead of him. Get him to come home and if he trains well a spot alongside Moore is his for the taking.

What are peoples thoughts on Jackson Trengrove from Port? FA this year, and dropped this week, he seems likely to leave. I would almost rather pick him up and keep our 1st round pick, then make a big play for Lynch next year.


I love the idea of Lever, but for me, our backline isn't as big an issue as our forward line. We desperately need a big fish to work in tandem with Moore.

We could even look at Duryea or Savage too for some drive out of the backkine and we can move Maynard to a wing or half forward.
