Honestly got donuts today on the Beams and Roughead fronts.

Hopefully we get these deals done early tomorrow, both deals are absolutely vital for us imo.

Roughead covers every key position on the field, even gives us flexibility for Mihocek. If we needed to throw checkers down back we’d have another option up forward if need be in Roughead. Very important deal for us.

If someone in the media had any indication this deal was a chance it would been posted on their twitter days ago. They don't wait for confirmation. And they certainly don't start spreading the info for someone else to scoop them.

No - it is you who doesn't understand that we need to not pay overs for a player we don't actually need. Just because Adelaide were stupid enough to do it that doesn't mean we should follow their lead.

The reality is that if we give them two first round picks for a 29 year old, including this year's pick in a super strong draft, then it will likey consign us to only matching bids for our two NGA players and not much else, when we could have potentially had another elite talent come into the club AND picked up Quaynor and Kelly.

We don't need Beams, but it looks like they do need that extra first round pick to make the Neale deal work. If they can make it work somehow without the extra first round pick then they will keep Beams anyway.
