Hopefully there's going to be a lightbulb moment soon when we understand what we've been doing this week . Unless we've been just focused on Beams this whole time

Demons did bloody good there.

and KK for pick 6....

Are we the only club that has to pay overs every ruddy trade? for then supporters to console themselves with dillusions of what we give up because we did good with change we got back...

Nah. Melbourne are the big losers of these trades. Hogan for May and KK. A young KPF with elite talent for a a middle of the road back flanker and a 27 year old key defender who's never set the world on fire, despite his big reputation. I can understand why we as a club may have been willing to overpay for May, but Melbourne has solid young defensive options. Couple this with Pruess and their trade period is really confusing to me.

Of course they are. All bluff and bravado Dave just to pad it out. Driving a hard bargain continues to make them look strong before letting him go for a solid deal.

Deal will get done.

Maybe they got so bruised by that West Coast thrashing they decided they needed a new KPD to stop Kennedy/Darling?

Melbourne were losing Hogan no matter what, the fact that got him (may) and talented BUT injured KK for a single pick is excellent. We have been told all fortnight GC requested of Pies (and others but mostly aimed at us) for May 2 firsts rounders one being top 5.

KK isn't very good let's be honest. Melbourne on paper may look better but the quality of player has reduced. Jesse Hogan is a much much better player than May. Melbourne rolled over to Fremantle because May was on the table.

Jesse Hogan is a 23 year old kid who just kicked 47 goals despite missing 4-6 games an injured foot and having testicular cancer. He'd be a 65+ goal a year forward in our team and also has the ability to run through the midfield Roughead style. It should have been a two first rounder trade every day of the week.

How many times does it need to be said?

We did not have the currency!

It's about creating currency like alot of other clubs have. We have a surplus of smalls in the team make a call for a needed deficiency.

Shows that People happily Trade with everyone Except Collingwood
No it doesn't.

It shows that GCS have stuffed up their salary cap. KK is a very average player anyway (maybe at best a round 3 pick if on his own).

There defence needs May big time. The younger McDonald is out of his depth on key opposition talls.
Cox tore him a new one on Queens birthday as well. Now the older McDonald can stay forward & the younger one gets less dangerous opponents.
Good call list wise. I like Hogan but think he is a little over valued.
