I’d do Treloar and our 1st.

Gold Coast would have thrown a name just for some discussion no way they part with 1 & 2 both best mates that's the starting block for the club.

That was probably before the concessions though.

Really think the corrupt AFL didn't tell them a month out they were getting a priority pick?

I’d do Treloar and our 1st.
Treloar quote - “I love those guys, I love the Collingwood Football Club; I’m always going to be a black and white man. I absolutely love the place — still have my struggles — but from where I (was) 12 months ago I am that far ahead.”

He ain't going nowhere. That is a Collingwood player. Right there!

To me it seems like he really doesn’t want to leave but the longer it goes on you never know.

I’ve seen it as he wants to stay but our offer isn’t great, so he’s going to other clubs so he’d get a better offer from us.

He might be but the club didn’t feel the same way. The club could’ve said no way and never brought it up with him. But they went to Treloar and said would you do it. Which suggests the club was happy to do the trade.

This is a lot like the quiet approach we did to GWS about giving them Swanny for pick 1.

If you want pick 1 you’ve got to give something up. They want senior bodies and leadership. I’d offer Sidebottom, Thomas and Langdon.

Sidebottom getting towards the end, we have plenty of other small forwards who could replace Thomas, Langdon also we have several medium defenders.

I reckon its likely Bulldogs have a much bigger offer on the table moneywise than what we could offer Bruce. They have Boyds money to spend. He'd be a perfect fit for us.

I think he’d perfect too. Why is why is annoys me we aren’t making a play.

Makes me think we are getting Cameron next year or a back man this year to play Moore forward.

I wouldn't be reading too much into one game. In Mihocek's last game he only got 2 disposals. Crisp was only steak knifes until he was given an opportunity...
Crisp wasn’t that bad at Brisbane. Probably unfair we even refer to him as ‘steak knives’ as Lion fans will tell you he was showing a lot of ability.

Yes I agree as shown by my post a couple down from the one you quoted.

Scout has said watch this space on Scharenberg... Maybe him and a swap of picks to Port for Dougal Howard.

As long as we sign up Moore before he becomes a permanent forward, I’d love Howard.

once Moore goes forward and becomes the best big man in the comp he will be too expensive to keep.

Quietly, the conspiracy theorist in me beloved we are keeping him back to avoid the massive contract he’ll command as a premier key forward.

For some reason i’m watching this trade show on FF. Dicko: 100% Carlton makes a final and they will win it guaranteed 😂 off the back of potentially getting Betts, Martin and Papley. Wowee, comedy gold.
Maybe he thought they were talking about Dusty Martin?

Yes, but my point was merely that Treloar is the type of bloke I want at my club. I'm not concerned that the club considered the deal. Anyone who didn't consider a deal for number 1 pick would be a bit silly IMHO.

Dickson is a funny guy. I’ll never forget having a coffee with him a few years ago when the Hawks were playing the Cats in a final and Rioli was a bit ‘iffy’. Anyway it was a Friday night final and Dickson says to me on the day “Rioli is definitely out for tonight’s game”. 8 hours later and he’s running onto the field. Hmmmm...either the Hawks stooged one of their own, or he was was attempting to stooge me.
Having said that, he is a ripper bloke. One of the genuinely nicest guys you will meet.

Very similar to Patton.
No, Patton is a salary dump. He’d have some actual value if he wasn’t costing the Hawks $750k in his first year.

Who is Ro and what is the sickness?
I hope it's not the sleeping sickness that chief of that South American tribe Great Boo has.

Actually, just hearing he's recovered, Great Boo's up!!!!!

I know, I know, thanks Blackadder.

Agree, but why not current 3rd? Our future 3rd may be more valuable for points next year than this year's is as a pick.

I just thought our current 3rd rounder might be a bit too wide after finishing 3rd, thought a club might prefer to take a punt on us finishing in a worse spot next year. You're right on the points thing though, that probably makes more sense.
