Crisp wasn’t that bad at Brisbane. Probably unfair we even refer to him as ‘steak knives’ as Lion fans will tell you he was showing a lot of ability.
Don't harsh the narrative man.

I’ve seen it as he wants to stay but our offer isn’t great, so he’s going to other clubs so he’d get a better offer from us.

Yep. Agree. We don’t seem to be budging though. Which may indicate we are willing to lose him for a mediocre pick & slight salary cap relief.

What Gary Buckenara says Adelaide should offer us for Grundy this trade period:

"I’d offer pick Nos.4 and 23 or pick Nos.4, 23 and Reilly O’Brien who showed great signs as a No.1 ruckman this season."

I'd seriously consider 4, 23 and ROB, particularly if you could turn 4 into 1 somehow.

Also frees up money for retention and shot at a good KPF in the future

Not for me. I’m not trading Grundy, but if he said he was out it’d be 4 + their 2020 1st which will be top 3. Then we can either take that to the draft or target B Brown.

"Hey Jamie, out medical team has no idea, do you mind pretending to get a trade to go get a check up elsewhere?"

It explains Hawthorns WTF to reports of them chasing Elliott. It was really just us trying to get the blokes who've done more for medicine than Marie Curie to have a look.

Surely we can find a couple of players who want to play for the suns?
Yet we traded Witts for 44 & 62.

If Daniher is a pick 5 and 9 and Kelly is 2 firsts, a second, a bag of kitty litter and 3 Siamese kittens then Grundy is worth 2, 4 ROB and thalia.

I don't want Grundy traded, but in the scenario you put forward, I'd leave it for Adelaide to get the deal done with GC for pick 1.
Then we can talk.

More like 1,4,23 ,next years first and ROB

Do you know something we all don’t in regards to Crouch and Talia? Because Adelaide don’t get pick 1 and keep 4 or their 2020 1st without giving up serious talent. Also they can keep ROB he’s as overrated as Jack Martin!

Na,just my way of saying they can't afford Grundy . nahnah and spartan-magpie, these two obviously agree :)

Collingwood is in a pretty comfortable negotiating position re Grundy.

He is the best big man in the league. So if he signs a deal within our salary structure - he'll likely end up one of Collingwood's all time greats.

If not..

He is at peak value and we can demand a king's ransom in the trade.

Plus, I believe Cox having the number one ruck role, would still leave us very competitive in that position. And an opportunity to better balance the squad.

Win/win

Adelaide's entire draft capital for the next 10 years + ROB for Grundy + pick 35 imo
I was about to call ridiculous but you did give them our pick 35.
