Sorry dave, l liked Aish but Steven is a game changer player, wish he was with us, if did not have his problems, he is exactly what our midfield needs, a goal kicking mid with speed.

Well he wanted to go Home to Geelong and Injury Issues. We had no Chance and I doubt we could Afford his Wage

Attention everyone: I have Quaynor best 22 now

This is a bit controversial I know but I’m not 100% on Quaynor being up to scratch at AFL level. I saw him at the Freo practice match in February and he looked like a schoolboy, really quite lost, and not a big fella at all. I know he aspires to be JJ, and I hope I’m proven wrong, but we can’t be putting massive hopes on him right now to play at the level, maybe ever.

Can't see us making two second round selections in 2020, do we:

- trade both for a mid first range pick
- trade our 2020 first and one of the seconds for higher first range pick, effectively jumping the potential bid on McInnes

Preferably either would be done with later picks (points) coming back our way.

My earlier question got buried so I'll ask again. We currently have picks 35, 62 and 74, assuming no further trades. Is there a rule that we have to take a minimum amount of brand new players or can a worthless pick (read: 74) be used to promote a rookie and that counts towards any minimum acquisitions?

So what I mean is - is it possible for the club to just take 35 and 62 to the draft, then use 74 to promote either Lynch or Mihocek (a year early)?

Pretty sure you must use a minimum of 3 picks in the draft, including rookie elevations.

I agree with your assessment of the JLT game but I thought he looked good in his AFL appearances. There's a reason he wasn't a Round 1 selection - he needed a little bit of time to develop.

I know, just saying why l think he is better than Aish that’s all

Would you have Appleby/Noble over him? Or just run one less small defender

... or use them for points to get Nick Daicos and McInnes?

If we truly don’t have the cash we have mismanaged our list
Maybe, or maybe we've managed our list beautifully by recruiting 3 youngish stars who are so highly rated in the industry that theyre going to have to be paid a heap. Juggling your salary cap to give the payrises that you have to give to young guns is the best problem a footy club can have.

So we have three senior spots confirmed available (Wells, Goldsack, Aish). One has been filled by Cameron.

Dunn and Crocker are the two senior players OOC we haven't heard a single word about whether they'll be on the list. Wills, Varcoe and Reid all likely to re-sign. And we have three picks in the national draft.

Intriguing.
