It's only a minority because we've only had 1 years exposure to the SSP and midyear recruitment options. There'll be guys drafted who train at the clubs, there'll be guys drafted who don't. Obviously the SSP gives greater opportunity for clubs to have players train with them as it's the preseason and doesn't impact their season as much if they ultimately don't get drafted. It may well even be beneficial if you're wanting to test the attitude of a prospect (Stack) or the fitness of a prospect (Bennell), but it's hardly a deal breaker/maker.
We’ve got two years of data on the SSP and of the dozen or so guys taken the only one that I’m aware of that didn’t have permission to train with a club was Brooksby. As with Appleby and Bianco there will be outliers. In Collingwood’s case given we had the guy training with us we ultimately took it was a dealbreaker...
