Now Edmund saying that Essendon has approached DeGoey's manager (his dad)
It’s pins at a dart board for some of them. I think you’ve got to listen to the language more so than the reports. I take with a gain of salt anything that starts with “Asked a question” and “approached” as means little. Every single club in the league should be “asking the question” about De Goey’s availability. He would be a top 5 player at any club in the league

If he played for Essendon, one week out from the end of the season, still unsigned and we didn’t ask the question to his management I would be incredibly disappointed in our football club

He wants to stay. we'll get it done.

Now Edmund is saying Geelong are going after Breust.

I'd be interested to see who Hawthorn go after. They're freeing up some coin. Might not hit 95% by just going to the draft.

I'd guess that nobody is really "going after" anybody at this point with list sizes and TPP cap still up in the air - more "made up" copy from Sam perhaps?

On the TPP cap floor itself - it will be interesting to see what happens next year but I wouldn't be surprised if the AFL let clubs dip a little lower than 95% for next season, given the overall uncertainty around revenues, TPP cap and list sizes for the next couple of years.

Yep I said better not bigger. He may not be better but looks to have a lot more promise than we currently have! Likened to Reinwoldt. Have we drafted a player like him before?

Morrison was going to be the next Carey.

Sure - but the height and reach of the Kings are the problem for defences to handle.
Without the 200cm plus height they are not as formidable.

I'd say it's their ground ball ability that sets them apart, especially for guys over 200cm.

Stringer and DeGoey would be an interesting mix. They're similar types of player; unless one plays midfield they'd get in each others way.

Essendon. . Oh how cute. What would ******* Dodoro be offering? A 4th rounder and Marty Gleeson.
I get that Essendon have to work to improve their list, but they would be far from a destination club right now.

You'd imagine that in a perfect world they'd share that forward/midfield role and that it'd be the exception to find them both forward.

Maybe North have interest in Callum Brown. Given they bid for him at the draft and his dad is their development coach.

I would look to move him on.
re-signed earlier in the year, so contracted til 2022. Not going anywhere.

Geez, Geelong are going to be a mighty team next year after they recruit Breust, Brad Crouch, Jack Viney and Jeremy Cameron. Everyone is going to them apparently.
Unless they’re allowed to play 26 with 22 on the field at any one time, I’m not sure recruiting everyone in sight is that great a strategy.

For every 20 rumours the "football media" spreads about players who maybe on the move to another club, they get about 1 right!!

Outside the 1st rd they have pick 25 and 57 at present. They won’t offer 25 for him and we wouldn’t/shouldn’t sell for pick 57.

I think he needs another 18 months before we know the finished product. Look how far Daicos has come in 12 months. 12 months ago I and many others had written him off

What's Scharenberg on in terms of salary cap and his contract expires this year right? Maybe it's time to delist him to free up some cap
