I wouldn't at all be surprised if a lot of players in the 24-25 age bracket who are coming out of contract this year opted for 2 year deals heading into RFA.
There's not likely going to be as much TPP pie to divvy up for the next couple of years as the AFL and clubs continue to rationalise football operations, but coming out of that there will be a clearer picture of where finances stand in the AFL and perhaps more scope for clubs and players to work on bigger money / longer term deals.
It's a risk for players like Moore and DeGoey obviously, but I just can't see any clubs throwing wads of cash at long term deals to keep (or lure players) away given the period of uncertainty they are all going to be operating within over the next couple of years while everything shakes itself out.
