The
He averages 2 goals per game across his career and that’s with significant time spent in defence. He’s kicked 50+ goals in a year, 4 times, 46 in his first year at Hawthorn, and was averaging 2 goals per game this year in the most garbage Hawthorn outfit in 15 years. He’s accomplished more than any forward on our list and would instantly become our most dangerous target inside 50.
Good honest player? You’re kidding yourself.

He'd also be a better forward line coach than the Muppet we have working there now..

1st day at Collingwood probably walk onto the field and see our mids kicking helicopters over his head and think WTF...

GUNston would compliment our forward line perfectly (even if we had to lose Checkers in the process). EXTREMELY reliable forward with fantastic accuracy and a phenomenal lead up mark for his size. Would also take away one of the best defenders from Goo and Cox whilst still slotting a couple himself.

If we could get him and a good crumber we’d be at 11.59 on the premiership clock by round 1 2020.

Anyone not excited by his potential trade in obviously watches no Hawks games. He’s the #3 effective forward this year in a team that struggled to hit a barn door from the midfield. Not to mention his finals credentials.

Round 1 2020?? Is it back to the future

Spoke to a couple of Hawks supporters today, and both said the same thing.

Would be SPEWING if they lost Gunston.

Compared to Brown and Wright he is the best option by far. Massive upgrade on Mihocek.

I heard graham wright on SEN the other day and he seemed adamant Breust and Gunston were going nowhere. Any reason people think Gunston is available? Don’t want to cause mass disappointment.... if he was would 100pc want him over brown. Could not take the run-up

You honesty think there’s a reality where Freo would go for that?

Early in the year Fremantle were thinking of paying Hogan out, so I don't see it as unrealistic. How they're valuing him at the moment I have no idea what their intentions are with him. I strongly suspect he would be on the table, but if they rate him at all, I just don't know. They'd have to have really revised their views on him to suddenly rate him.

Given both Hogan's physical health and mental health issues, I personally don't place Hogan's value any higher than Phillips, with the swap being a consistent and reliable, plug and play performer for a high risk/high reward player (Hogan), who has a very low probability of returning to anything close to his best, as a once was. You just hope you can get any value out of Hogan, because there is the very real possibility you get no games out of him and have him walk away from the game at any stage. But if he does work out and you find a way to get him playing good football, then that's a bonus rather than an expectation, as he hasn't played good football since he last played for Melbourne, and you have to have full understanding in taking him on, that you're not with any certainty getting any games from him.

These Gunston rumours are a good reminder of the shenanigans that AFL media types pull during trade season and a good reminder to not get sucked in. These rumours started all because Tom Morris tweeted Pies looking into Gunston, remember last year when we were also looking at getting pick one to get Rowell? We should be glad that it looks like the Pies are actively trying to improve their list and find a KPF but we also have a game to win next week and that should be the main focus. Journos will always create rumours with the pies and it sells papers and generates click.

Honestly reckon after all the rumours we’ll just hit the draft. Hopefully get another first round pick.

From the Hine Interview they said he wants to Upgrade our 1st Round Pick
