What would Hopper cost us pick/player wise do you think? He'd be a good fit and certainly a cheaper option cap wise than a blue chip established mid.
Mid-late first maybe an early 2nd (i.e. probably between Pick 10-20). It all depends on Kelly, if he stays the likes of Hopper, Kennedy and Smith are all likely pushed out. Destination clubs will have more of a say given GWS simply won't be able to afford to keep those players, so clubs may force them to accept unders.

I've never rated Pittard. I really hope we are not in to him.
Neither. Already have one shitty moustache on the team.

Seems to butcher it often, though there are a lot of people singing his praises. Can't quite figure out why.

Think he would cost us our first rounder (he was taken right after Parish and Francis...if they were looking to leave Essendon we would be demanding a really high pick like we did with Carlisle, so it would be more than a fair trade to give up our first pick even if it is in the top ten).
I would be happy to part ways with our first for him because you know you are getting a good player, and our picks in the teens lately haven't exactly set the world on fire.

Not sure Ainsworth is required. He's going to be a gun but iur forwardline is the least of our issues and we have quite a few smallish guys already.

Small will be the new tall as we start phasing out boundary stoppages and bringing the interchange cap down. Smalls rotating through the midfield will be gold mate.

I totally agree with concep but I think he's to small for our lineup considering McGrath, Parish and Merrett are undersized.

Benny does have good spring though which I like in a small forward. I saw him through the championships last year and he impressed me.

When on earth did Ainsworth come into discussion? Is that Bigfooty echoing or real?

Gold Coast would want way too much for him (pick 4 last year) for our relative need for the position.

The tigers are practicing for it and they're in the top 4. We need to read the lay of the green here mike! 16 premierships I've been alive for one and the darkest 5 years in sports history!!! Not ****in good enough

If you are using Richmond as the benchmark then I can suggest a good shrink

Mate to be sitting top 4 with that list, something extraordinary is going on. Dimma was cooked last year I cannot believe where they are right now. Looked as good without Riewoldt. We need to get mobile!

We are mobile everywhere eccept midfield. We are all good mate.

I know Lever is a great young talent but would he really be worth the cost for you guys? You've already got a really solid spine and a weak midfield in comparison, would have thought they'll throw the kitchen sink at a few mids in trade week.

I'm not saying this because my club is after him too, if we don't get him I'd rather you guys because it wouldn't upgrade your list as much as some others :D
All bar 2 posters on this board agree with you

It's all to do with our plan to eventually merge with the Pies. They bring the mids, we bring the defenders and forwards.

If you're prepared to scratch the surface and ask whether we have adequately replaced the presence of Hooker and Carlisle in defence.

You'll find the answer is **** no. Lever is a need and if you can't see it you're not looking hard enough, or you just don't know much about what's going on.

With Levers disposal, not only do they not score after a contested mark, we probably do. Lever improves us more than any other Melbourne club because the way we play suits him best, he sets up most of the attack for Adelaide and would come in and play that exact role for us. Collingwood, dogs and Melbourne would force him to be a full time lockdown KPP most likely. We wouldn't which makes us really attractive for him imo

Replacing Carlisle and Hookers presence with a 21 y.o that has Hurley's boot? Glad woosha running this joint not BF.

Score involvements is the stat used to indicate disposal efficiency but more importantly decision making. For every posession in a chain that leads to a score you get credited with one.

Jake cuts off (intercept posession) more than every player on our list with an average of 9.6. Our best is Hurley with 8.5.

Based on these stats from the AFL website its not as clear that he disposes of it well.

You can hit a target all day of the week but if its the wrong target its pointless.
