How do you rate the current crop?
It’s an even crop compared to last year, good depth going into the 50s but drops of for me after that for players I would struggle to even take as rookies. Last years top end is better and lucky for Dodoro this is a good year for flankers who could become mids ;)

Here is the article that mentions Wills being available.
For those stuck behind the paywall it looks like the pies have hit the panic button with their salary cap and the need to keep their big 3, seeing if anyone will take the Aish bait.

Ah. Yeah Bulldogs aren't doing that.

Tbh I think it’s fair. I’d rate Bruce around 18-20. He had a great year and very much enhanced his value in my eyes. Worth more to the dogs pushing for a flag than a kid IMO.

What would you rate Shaun McKernan if we were trading him?

Not much, pick in the 50s, might be able to get something better (late thirties) if a team pushing for a flag head hunted him.

Not sure anyone would bother at 29 and injury prone but would actually be a good selection for the doggies now. Chop out for Naughton and English.

I'd think more likely:

Carlton get 16 and 21
Brisbane Lions get 9

16 and a future second for Papley and 54
21 gets them Martin

Essendon 5 and Hewett and a 2020 1st
Sydney Joey Jo Jo and 33

Sydney then have 16, 25, 33, 44, 62, 63, 81 and a 2020 2nd
they can use these picks to swap with the Dogs and Saints for future 2nds and 3rds who are in DIRE NEED OF PICKS NOW to get players

That way they'll have ample future picks stored for their 2 or 3 academy kids next year and still a 1st round pick this year.

May as well throw Phillips into any trade involving Essendon and Carlton.

I dont think thatll ever happen with any player, it would be so unprofessional, but could he afford too? If JD is fit he has to play, he's played 10 games in 2 years,

Cam McCarthy sat out a year and Patton effectively stood ou this year.

100% this. If he were to dominate and get back to being one of the best key forwards in the comp then a) it bodes well for us on field which would make JD way up his options more and b) gives us that much more bargaining power as he will still be a RFA to which we have the ability to match any offer that comes his way.

In what world would you match JD's RFA if by chance he plays atEFC in 2020 and he still wants to leave - This is the world gone crazy.
