If this happens, I will finger pop my A hole while running laps naked at Punt road singing old mcDonald.

The above would be a 5 year rebuild in 24 hours.

Very close. Saints likely to get pick 8 (compo for Josh Battle) so that pushes the picks after out by 1.

Also strong chance we swap 10 and 16 to the Egirls for pick 3 (or 2). That gives us both FOS and Jagga
I'm not sure West Coast will look at trading pick 3 for picks that far down, it means they will miss out taking one of the top 5 or 6 mids. They already have Harley Reid so its not like they need mids for the sake of it.

Let's say hypothetically (and perhaps optimistically) …

We get 6 and 20 for Rioli, 7,12 and 16 for Bolton and Baker and 22 as compo for Graham.

We'd then have 1, 6, 7, 12, 16, 20, 21, 22, 33, 39, 41, 51, 57, 64 and 72.

33, 39 and 41 should get us Brisbane's 17, as its a 396 point surplus for them + a guarantee we don't bid on Ashcroft at 1, which is worth another 483 points.

72 is pretty much worthless, which would leave us with 51, 57 and 64 to sell off. Essendon currently don't have enough points to cover a Kako bid, so they'd possibly take all three for a future pick or pick upgrade, or we could sell them individually for late future picks.

We'd then be left with 8 picks to take to the draft — 1, 6, 7, 12, 16, 20, 21 and 22.

21 and 22 being the first two picks of night two often net clubs future first rounders in live trades. We could possibly offload them to spread our draft load and take 1-2 rookie picks instead. Could also look to combine a couple of first rounders to move up the board if there's someone we like.

It's bold, but its all doable imo.

Early 20’s picks are going to be liquid gold in this draft, as there’ll be half a dozen players clubs rate as normal ‘top-12’ picks left on the board. So those without early selections (Dogs, Port, Pies) or those who’ve only had 1 x early selection and need another, will be coming from everywhere to trade up.

So last year we went from 35-40 and acquired a 2nd and a 3rd rounder. This year I’m certain there’ll be opportunity to go from early 20’s to late 20’s and acquire a couple of 2nds in the 2025 draft. Or swap an early 20’s pick for a F1 from clubs who are confident of good finishes in 2025 like Port and Dogs.

So I’m not going to be worried if we acquire a couple of 2nds for Baker or 11 and 20 for Rioli… Blair will parlay those picks into a bonanza for us.

They want Bo Allen. They can get him at 10 and another 1st round talent with pick 16. If we take FOS then I expect this trade to happen. They are open to pairing FOS with Harley because they are mates but absent that happening will move on to Allen

Tigers really keen on Jagga is the whisper I am hearing.

What does Jagga have that is superior to a fully fit FOS? From my very limited knowledge he’s not as explosive, not as skilled, not as big and nowhere near as good an overhead mark.

Is he a far better clearance player? Better decision maker? Or just a complete freak at finding the footy which puts him ahead?

These are genuine questions… i just hope Jagga doesn’t have the Jyhe Clark’s about him …

They could trade Barrass for a 1st rounder, keep pick 3 and still get Bo Allan. I doubt it's going to happen.

If the Hawks make finals their pick likely to be 14+ - that's on the edge of Bo's range.

They want the Barrass pick to swap for Baker is my understanding.
Eagle fans will riot LOL

If it was the other way round there is no way im trading down pick 3 for 2 picks in the teens so we can take Bo Allan, then trading away Barrass for Baker.

If the AFL give them first round compo the whole system is broken. Salary cap goes up like $2m so it should be a $1m contract minimum for band one.
