Inb4 we hold Bolton and Rioli to their contracts, JGTI knocks back Eagles, Baker goes to Eagles for a future 2nd rounder and we go to the draft with pick 1 and 21.
That would be like when my old man thought I had too many Christmas presents so returned my Spider-Man web shooter ,,, still spewin

Yeah this campaigner has a bet each way every other week. Even posing on the main board as some kind of "look at me" expert.

Unbelievable, unreal, and thank you for calling this behavior out.
Bit of a me me me expert is tigs

I'm in the FOS camp ATM, it says a lot when other draft hopefuls nominate FOS as their choice

Draft hopeful Harvey Langford has put forward the name of the player he believes should be taken with Pick 1 in the 2024 AFL Draft. Vic Country gun Langford won the Larke Medal (joint winner with Gold Coast product Leonardo Lombard) for a stellar National Championships, but he believes a certain teammate will go ahead of him in November.

Finn O’Sullivan hails from Koroit in western Victoria so plays for Vic Country, but plays his Coates Talent League footy for the Oakleigh Chargers as he is boarding at Xavier College in Melbourne. The cousin of Carlton star Sam Walsh is Langford’s pick for the coveted No.1 draft position.

“I think Finn O’Sullivan should be Pick 1,” Harvey mentioned on SEN Breakfast.

“His skills are on a different level. His speed and footy IQ are pretty special. He’s a great person also.

“You want a great person around the club and he’s a great leader. He was a great leader for Vic Country.

“On and off the field he’s a just a really good person and really good player.”

I think I've changed my mind from Smillie...to Jagga...to Draper...to now FOS

Probably unlikely, but I’d love for the Saints to finish above the Suns. Most likely getting another early first for Battle when he leaves. Would love to get in front of them having two picks in a row (with the suns first)
Same, but as I said previously, I feel like the Suns might try to have their cake and eat it too if they have pick 5. There's a chance a team won't bid on Lombard before then.

Glad someone's finally calling out Morro 's loser attitude.
This week its me, next week it will some one else and so on and so forth. Old Flavor of the week Tigs2010.

Jagga played his third and final VFL game of the season, again playing predominantly in midfield and producing excellent numbers against grown men. This might have been the least impressive of his three VFL outings, but Jagga Smith doesn't play a bad game. His willingness to put his body on the line and wear the hits to win contested footy was a particular feature in this one.

Thank you.

Watching that I don't think he did his chances any harm of going pick 1. FOS is certainly the flavor of the month on this board but what Jagga is doing is pretty bloody impressive to me. Far from the Tom 'crab' Mitchell comparisons that the haters run with.

feels like he doesnt realise how fast and evasive he is yet, I reckon he has another level.

I kinda had the opposite thought. That kick late in the 2nd from the back flank corner of the square that he tried to launch and it only went 40m to a Saints guy on his own was grim. His handball in tight work is elite but the kicking is just meh. I can't recall a #1 pick that could only kick 40m.

I can see the Butters comparisons.

I think if he was 187cm and 5kgs heavier he would be a lock to go #1.

His size has to be a worry.

Yeah I agree. Seems like he's found his niche in the juniors as a pure extractor but does have the tools to take the game on more. Still looks like he'll end up an out and out gun to me.

That was one kick. Let's be honest if he was a penetrating kick he would probably be a Harley Reid like standout #1 pick. 40m is fine if you can hit targets. Keen to see how he goes in the kicking test, I suspect he'll go better than expected. Kicking action looks fine, I reckon he's just never had the luxury of getting much outside ball to show it off more.
