WC allegedly asked about Walker as part of the Judd trade.

Well, that's what his Dad claimed on a Carlton forum in 2007.

Also said that Walker loved it at Carlton and wouldn't leave if we tried to trade him.

That view may have changed this year.

We reportedly put Walker on the table last year.

Injuries would deter any club from trading the pick would have asked for.

Given Walker's history and the midfield Carlton is building, a fresh start at a new club might be the best thing for Walker.

Subiaco might suit a player with Walker's endurance and running power.

hardly a rumor, but chris mcdermott is urging the crows to throw big money at shannon hurn. Don't want it to happen and don't think it will happen. I am interested to know what the crows would give up for him??

I will possibly hang myself if they steal Hurn.

I find it hard to believe that Hawthorn would pick up Fraser unless it was for a 4th rounder or something like that. We already have Simon Taylor if we want a guy who will give good taps but do nothing else at all. I doubt it will be feasible to play guys like that as a second ruck next year, depending on what happens with interchange rules.

I think you got it the wrong way around. Fraser is ok around the ground. Its his tap work thats pretty shit.

I spoke to a bloke today who knows his football stuff very well and he told me that, Andrew Walker is about to walk out on Carlton becuase he wants more game time and he believes he can get it elsewhere, he also told me WCE are interested in him. I dont know how reliable this rumour is but i know the bloke who told me it knows his stuff so its up to you if you want to believe it.

Fingers crossed that its true

Hmmm hurn. Would definitely cost adelaide their first rounder. That on its own probably wouldnt cover what we would consider fair.

I dunno, how do you feel about taylor walker?
Walker and your second rounder is what i would want.

Remembering although they can look the same you cant trade shit for chocolates.

I want to know where the winderlich trade has come from? He wouldnt leave essendon after all they did for him through all his injuries and what not. Only way he would leave is if the club wanted him gone and i doubt you want one of our few older players to leave the club atm. Hes is probs our 2nd best midfielder.

Winderlich would be an upgrade on Peake, although peake has been decent.

Couldn't see StKilda giving up another pick for a mature aged player, unless there was an exchange of players.

Winderlich played at Gippsland Power with Goddard, so I guess its possible
that there could be something in that rumour.
Id be leaning towards Winderlich not being at Essendon next year aswell.

Unless Walker says he wants to go there is no way we would trade him. He is HIGHLY rated by Adelaide. We wouldn't even do a straight swap let alone throwing in our second rounder. I'm not saying we wouldn't have to give up quality or a high pick for Hurn it's just that Walker is worth a lot in Adelaide's eyes more that you might think.

I would have though pick 14 was about right, if he's happy to stay we'd probably have to pay more, if he wants to go home that would probably do though. Any number of combinations involving Griffin (who wants to go home to WA) and/or making an exchange of picks could be involved as well.

NO WAY!!!

I would never give up everitt for walker!

He is younger and got way more potential than walker, the only potential he showed was in his first game against west coast at visy park, eade just needs to play everitt more in the 1's so that he can grow and become a better player

And Jason Gram, Sean Dempster and Andrew McQualter as well. I'm by no means saying that means he will go there, but, he did play for Power with all of those guys.

Walker for Hurn would probably be a straight swap. Actually, I'd probably expect a pick to be coming back the other way - Hurn plus your 3rd rounder or something like that. He is VERY highly rated within the club.

Without Walker involved, Hurn would probably cost us our first pick (#14) plus an exchange of 2nd and/or 3rd round selections. We'd probably throw Griffin in as well - not that he adds anything to the value of the trade, but it saves us having to do a second trade involving him and your 6th or 7th rounder (which we'll never use). He wants to go home for compassionate reasons and West Coast have no ruck depth at all if something happens to Cox and/or NicNat.

Trying to add more depth to their defence. He is only 23 so still young for a KPP.

Hurn's "even more high rated internally".. so we expect a pick the other way..

Hurn's been a consistent performer and has the runs on the board at AFL level. Definitely worth more than Walker at this stage in their careers and most people would agree.
