The problem is trading with North Melbourne (sinking ship) as no one wants to go there. You solely have to give away all your current and future draft picks for him.

I reckon we have some players happy to get paid overs at North Melbourne. Just not Zac. Anyway, the trade will look after itself. North can't force him to sign.

Hypothetic cost?

He is a Former pick 1, only 1 year in the system, has huge upside.

May be Port’s first, Amon’s compensation and future first/second? That’s huge and Port would miss out on regenerating key position players in a key position player draft.

Would love to have JHF, but not at a stupid cost and sensible list management.

The Crows are dumb enough to do the deal that will get it done if JHF walks at the end of the year.

Port need him to stick out his contract.

Cam Zurhaar on other hand.

we should be working francis full time from now on he is totally getable...Im starting the bidding at our 1st and second pick this year and next.

Only 4 number 1 draft picks have won a flag.

History shows only Hodge was worth selling the farm for to get pick no 1.

Hawthorn gave away Croad + Mcpharlin for picks 1+20+36, which is a fair bit, but not the farm.

How do we get JHF

This year's 1st
Next year's 1st +? Cos they will want more?

🤔 Kinda a little excited we could snare him now....
I would go this yrs first, Amon compo and Bergman.
It's over paying but what it would take to make it happen this yr .

I like this but do you think maybe Dursma over Bergman? I’m not sure what’s going on with Dursma, I feel Bergman is a better and more versatile player.

Yeah while I would have the feelers out and be talking to him and his management I can’t see a trade happening this year.

North will want to hold onto him purely for the optics of losing a pick 1 player when half the country thinks they should fold anyway.

Some of the trades being thrown around for him are nuts. He’s not Chris’s judd. I think he’s on his way to being an excellent or elite player, but currently he’s an incomplete player. Has little to no outside game at all, and he’s going to have to develop one to go to the next level.

Hopefully our indigenous boys are still in contact with flash and on good terms.
Would be perfect fit for us but need to be careful not to sell the f

Nah. North are within their rights to ask for the world. He’s not Chris Judd yet, but a pick 1, 9 games in has lost little of his value. In fact I’d say he’s shown a lot of promise.

It’s up to us to come up with something. But it would be one of the bigger deals in recent history

What do you think gets it done then? Hypothetically of course.
