Look we could be the major winners in trade week but we need to lay parts on line and play hard to get. We have got players that we don't need and others that dont want to play for our club. Early picks will be a hard to come by so we should attack young blood.
The players that we need to lay on the line are people like
- Josh Gibson
- Jesse Smith
- Daniel Harris
- David Hale
- Sam Power
- Ed Lower
- Matthew Riggio

If these are all on the line then we could bring players to our club. We might not be able to win a premiership next year but our window will open within about 3-4 years.

it's going to be an interesing week ahead.

hopefully Gibson gets traded for pick 25 and 41.

If Jolly ends up going to Collingwood i think there might be a fair bit of interest in Hale from Sydney. I don't think anyone would offer alot fr him though. I think teams will look at picking up daniel harris in the PSD, if we could trade him for a draft pick in the 50's then I'd take that. I'd just like to see him get a new home. Could be some interest in Jesse Smith if he decides he wants a trade.

Sydney are going after Seaby. Jolly certainly isn't leaving because he is arriving! Jolly has wanted out for a while and the Swans knew that.

The players that we need to lay on the line are people like
- Josh Gibson - off to hawthorn
- Jesse Smith - ??
- Daniel Harris - not going to any other clubs
- David Hale - brad scott said keep hands off
- Sam Power - not going to any other club off to be a lawyer
- Ed Lower - ??
- Matthew Riggio - trading

We wont be trading Hale. If anything, if things don't work out next year then he may go to GC, but not this year. He will play most of the year as the number 2 ruck and his stocks will rise a fair bit. Seaby is practically useless, can't get a gig even when Cox is being rested and they are asking for a fortune for him.

I don't know if we will get anything for Harris, Power or Riggio, highly unlikely tbh.

Not sure how many guys we plan to de-list but if we elevate any of Obst, Garlett or White then we probably wouldn't be able to use picks lower than 3rd round given we will have 5 picks within the first 3 rounds.

Ruthless.

We'll have at least five picks in the top 45, by the looks, which will be exciting.
Given how well we've done with picks in the 40s in recent years, plenty to be hopeful about.

Yeah, we should almost consider trading pick 5 for three picks in 35-45 range. That way we'll have more chance off landing another Swallow and Anthony, instead of Trotter and Dylan Smith. :D

Seriously though, with all due respect to Stibbard, I am very happy that Joyce and Lewis are in place right now. Don't have a lot to judge them on yet, but the gut feel is good.

yeah lets hope that the Anthony pick was more good management than good luck........with more football dept spend you would expect the guys would be doing better due dill than in Nevs time........

Yes, the rookie elevations will be interesting to watch. You'd think Garlett is almost a given, the wat he fits into the midfield mix. Should be aiming to play round 1. White isn't as obvoious, but he appears to be AFL ready to me. He could play on AFL small forwards or fit into Power's semi negative role in midfield rotation.

Obst was gone in my eyes, but his two fairly good games at the end and Gibbo's departure would have to give him some chance. Our 3 first choice tall backs would obviously be Thompson, Grima and Hansen, but should injury or form be a worry, we don't really have any alternatives. Delaney seems too raw at this stage and should remain a rookie for now. Obst could get a spot to be that depth tall defender.

Lower could be in a bit of trouble.

Don't think White will be elevated, it was his first year this year so they can keep him on RL another year, but with Simmo's retirement we can nominate him to play from RD 1 which seems like an ideal situation. Then Speight/Delaney could be elevated from RD11 if they carries on improving

Wundke has to be gone, we have enough might be KPF's in Smith, O'Keefe and Tarrant.
