V: i'm pretty sure Gold Coast have pre-listed them from requests, because in some articles apparently clubs have called Gold Coast to make it happen, so it's definitely possible, unless he's a player which doesn't comply with the whole pre-listing thing...

One question

I keep reading that we are taking 3 live picks and rookie upgrade.

Assuming that Howlett is a live pick - That means that we only use pick 8 and 29 - 47 and 50 are Duscher and Howlett.

Quite happy that Neagle has got another crack, he's got one year to finally put it together. If Jimmy and co can't do it, then it's off to GWS/wilderness for Neagle. We all know Neagle has talent, it's just between the ears that's the problem. It's amazing what some guys can achieve when they realise they are on last chance St, such as Mitch Morton at the end of this year. Played very nicely in the midfield over the last month of the year.

in 2011 will be very disappointing to see Neagle produce anything other than his best year to date, or maybe he just isnt capable,

I see this as one of Hirdy's early big challenges - to get into Neagle's head & convince him he's Lloydy reincarnate

Even though he's almost as skinny as Bock, I've heard his accuracy in front of goal is pretty much superb...

With some meat on him, you never know...

In the long term who knows it could work out but imagine a forward line of him and Gumbleton in the short term. Would the skinniest Key Forward combination of all time

He is a FORWARD not a back man and if given a regular chance i believe he could easily add something to our forward line. He is only 23....

Yeah nah I'd rather blood someone with talent, e.g. Carlisle, Still or even Notte if we go down that path. Heck I'd even rather persist with Neagle than Dowler.

I don't mind him but I can't see us picking him up in the PSD unless he is best available. Doesn't really seem to fit the "plan" though considering his age and consistency is an issue. Hard to judge him in that Geelong team, could be found out on a much weaker team.
