So pick 12 (1,268 points) + 34 (542) = 1,810 Total

Picks 22 (845) + 24 (785) = 1,630

So if we swapped with GC they'd be ahead on points, but we might be in a better position to get SPS and Bolton.

I know Twomey's latest predictor had Bolton @ 20 and SPP @ 22, so we could be around the mark.

I've been a broken record on doing this, but given the way GWS are going about things I feel we're less a chance of seeing a slider to 12...

Why are so many people discussing Emac trades? Club have said he's not on the table

There is interest in him and we would have a selling point.

Because we watch the same drivel, ad infinitum, from many posters, not saying just one.
Seeing action for action's sake isn't always productive.
Mitchell, if it eventuates, seems a very astute move in terms of a skillset we are looking for and imparting knowledge and thinking style to the player group could have positive repercussions.
Mate I have no issues with getting Mitchell but the vast majority of his benefits will come from his coaching which we would have acquired in 2018 by the sounds of it.

Just because we are getting Mitchell for one year - as astute and mutually beneficial as it is - doesn't give the club a free pass to rest on its laurels.

It's a strong draft for mids from all accounts, and we need to nail it.

For whatever reason we aren't likely to have that many picks, which is disappointing. I think everyone can agree with that.

Because our list is full of spuds at EP that no one wants to trade second/third rounders for.

TRADE UPDATES
Mitch Cleary on NAB AFL Trade Radio reported fringe Geelong ruckman Nathan Vardy toured West Coast yesterday. The Eagles now lead the race for the Cat, with Port Adelaide the other option.

As Cleary pointed out, that makes it unlikely North Melbourne great Drew Petrie would become an Eagle. He has a future as a coach and could join Adam Simpson as an assistant at the Eagles.

It might just be me but the prospect of trading for Vardy isn't particularly exciting. In fact it's the opposite as we're trading to solve a one year issue whilst not improving the midfield which needs it most

What role does Vardy have beyond 2017. I don't see one

I really wanted that to say "As Cleary clearly point out" or even "really Cleary clearly point out"

All options are stop gap though aren't they? Vardy the best of a bad bunch, given he can go forward too.

Nic Nat going down really forced out hand, this is what we are seeing from the club.
