Hopefully they are looking into Brent Moloney. He's had a shocking season surrounded by bad team and poor team culture. In his interview he seemed keen to follow success and play finals.

Is he worth a look at?

I'd prefer to look at someone younger. Moloney is 29 next year, so only a few years left in him. Might help us get a flag next year (which really is the only important thing right now), but I think we need to find someone who can fill a role for the next decade, dare i say it, like a kennedy. We need to find that guy that isn't getting a game in another team who can fill a role with us. Maybe someone like Gysberts from Melbourne??

I'd love to chase a guy like Prestia from GCS, but it would cost too much I would think. Unless we could package up a Murphy & Young + draft pick

I'd take Lake in a heartbeat. We only need him for a couple of years before Hodge, Mitchell, etc. retire anyway. Quite frankly, if we don't win another flag with this current group, then it is a massive failure. We are in a bit of trouble for the future anyway, so why not go all out and give ourselves the best chance for a flag. We won't win a flag with our group while GC and GWS are in power, so why not bottom out, and go for a flag once they go back down?

Might not be a popular opinion, but i don't see any shame in bottoming out, and with a few exceptions, it is required to some degree to win flags.

The hawks don’t have any glaring deficiencies, but they would ideally love another defender to play a lock down role role, which is why the Hawks are really hoping they can snag Jarred Rivers or Mitch Brown. They’ve been linked to Toy, but given that he’s only 20 and somewhat unproven at AFL level, the hawks would be wary giving up a fortune for him. The Hawks surprisingly to some have been linked to Greg Broughton from the dockers, but given how many back flankers – come – midfielders the hawks have, it’s hard to believe they’ve be after another. Sharrod Wellingham has been linked to the hawks, and Shane Savage has been touted as a player the hawks would give up to get that deal done. Maverick Weller, a hawks supporter as a young lad wants out of the suns, and has been heavily linked to the Hawks.

Defence, Roughy needs to play permanent forward next year to help Buddy. Get a 1st ruckman

We need forwards that kick goals and perform in the biggest games....unforchunately Roughy doesn't deliver Up forward when it matters.

Hope we don;t get rid of Savage. still think he can become a really good player. Seemed to stagnate a bit this year but hopefully with another pre-season under his belt he can become the player we all want him to be.

Weller was pretty highly rated as a junior and would be a handy acquisition I would think, whilst Broughton is an interesting one. Replacement for Guerra?? (not that I'm retiring Goo off though)
