According to the AFL website the Pies are pretty close on securing Reid; he is the next one they want to sew up after getting Wellingham to sign on today.

I would go after Mitchell Brown from the West Coast Eagles he is 195cm 95kg 23 and years old. At this moment he is probably behind MacKenzie and Schoefield in the pecking order, he is also from Victoria. I'd rather get him then the others mentioned, he would be a decent full back that could be that gorilla defender we are after.

Gilham is a 10 times better and more reliable defender thank Schoey. Gilham positions his body and makes the forward go around him while Schoey lets the forward take the spot and then he tries to climb all over the forward.

Schoey in the last 2 weeks has had Gumby kick 4 on him and Tomahawk kick 6 on him. FIX the problem Hawthorn now.

I just don't think Gilham is the answer. He's 192cm and 86 kgs. Glass is the same height but 6 kgs heavier, Scarlett same height but 9 kgs heavier, Rutten same height but 15 kgs heavier, McPharlin 1cm taller and 6 kgs more, Tarrant 1cm and 8 kgs, Frawley 1 cm and 9kgs, Rance 2cm and 7 kgs, Lake 3cm and 18 kgs, Merrett 4cm and 22 kgs....

Agreed. In addition to being a little undersized, he has never been very athletic or quick either.

Not meaning to be too negative towards Gilham though, because he is a premiership FB and clearly his football smarts have offset any physical limitations he has.
