My only concern is all these guys that wanted out and a fresh start are still here, that cant be good for team morale I reckon.

They all wanted out because they won't get a game IMO. So i agree that can't be good for morale having 2 or 3 blokes thinking they won't play.

We have to clear 5 players. Morton is one. Taylor, Nason, Farmer will be 3 others. Who else do we think is gone? Webberley? It's hard because so many contracted.

Next year we will clear potentially 8 with McGuane, Thursfield, Moore, Connors, Tuck, Gourdis, Graham, White all out of contract.

Its a real concern to me.

I just cant fathom that the Dees got pick 50 for Warnock and we couldnt get anything for McGuane or Thursty

Connors I understand not getting offers for because he seems to live in the afl's wilderness, never really here, never really there. Just a myth.

I'd think about 10 spots (so instead of roughly 33 we get 43 next year)

Personally I suspect we will not activate this compo pick next year. Then it will be circa 25 in 2013

Makes the ND much more interesting and should satisfy santa as we now have 2 first rounders (OK, normally a second)

Krakouer pick is a mid 2nd rounder yer? Might be about a 10 pick downgrade for a pick 26.

Leaves us with an end of second rnd pick in the future and draft picks 15, 26, 55, 73, 79, 91 in this years draft.

Now we get pick 26 and another pick later that in an uncompromised draft will be pick 40-odd.

Good deal I say and give us that extra pick to use without burning all of it.

Krakouer pick will never be 25. Could be about 29 if there are no compos in the same year. Remembering there is 18 first rounders every year now and 10 non-finals teams we have to wait for.
