will this man be a better 7th forward then Rioli i dont want to play a 1st season players a s my 7th forward as they struggle to finish off games come the end of H&A

Gamble could score the same as Rioli from here on in and Mumford should be dropped for Ottens when he returns

Dropped for Matty Stokes this week?

Might leave him and go Richo just because he is playing Essendon and loves them. Plus he is on fire!!!!!
He is!
Love the Richo!
Seriously....!

Now about Chappy I think you should go him.
1. He wont get cheaper then this
2. Getting into form again
3. He has proven he is a DT gun.

If he gets his average this week of 94.75 (95) he will rise 9,400

Am waiting a few weeks til some backs drop in price. Chornes is a definate in after sydney, jbowden and jdrummond dropping in price in the coming weeks :)

Bowden still scored 71 in wet conditions playing as a forward, definately worth a look at when he has bottomed out. Agree with Drummond though, is not worth the risk.

by all means if it turns out that he can score well up forward then he must be strongly considered but we will just have to wait and see.

i don't think gamble will be dropped. the cats seem to have a lot of faith in him. they brought him back immediately after he was injured and straight after he returned from whacking dal santo.

trading out Houli this week..

taking opposition, break evens and players ability into consideration

who would be best to get now and best to get in 1-3 weeks time

Bartel or Kornes?

I was dead set on getting kornes who has a B/E of 93 odd this week as oppossed to Bartel..but the more i think about it i want to get Bartel.

please help

bartel now kornes later. well thats what i am doing anyway. hard to ignore the fact that kornes is playing sydney with no burgoyne and maybe no chad.

jimmy may ease up and be rested like last year over the last few weeks of H&A season. J.Corey has same potential to pull big numbers. Bartel likely to be tagged before Corey. Bartel is of the finest dtmers as he marks, goals and tackles with his casual 28 posses im the same situation as you in 2 weeks time

The tagging thing is always important - Kerr, Foley, etc don't score as highly as they might 'cause they are the No.1 targets for taggers. Food for thought - thanks. Ideally I would trade Palmer & Houli to Bartel and Corey, but at the moment I have problems in the backline and don't want to overuse my trades. Maybe later for that one.

Exactly what i was thinking. Would be extremely surprised if he was dropped this week.

Agree - they pretty much played Varcoe and N.Ablett every week last season, so can't see him being dropped in a hurry. Esp. after efforts like the chase, tackle, etc. 3rd/4th efforts from the w/e.

would love some opinions on my ideas for this week
9 trades , 106 in bank
was thinkin of upgrading rioli
options:
ROK/gia/BJ/n.brown
ROK looks solid and consistant and is currently my way of thinkin.
any1 no his B/E ? i cant get FFgenie to work

other thoughts ??

or.
could go bird >>wellingboots
rioli > chappy
7 trades , 98 in bank which might go most of the way to upgrading wona/ibbo or both the way quality backs r falling

how do u guys rate ling?
iv had him since start : av=90.5
likely to miss this week . ling >bartel is tempting but a waste and i only 9 trades . very key

or sit tight another week. becoz fair chance rioli will get close 90-100 this week against melb

thoughts appreciated:confused:

Dilemma, need help!

Option 1:

This week - Hill, houli out ---> Valenti, Corey/Bartel in (will leave palmer, wona and armitage as 6th,7th,8th midfielders)
Few weeks time - Tippet, Jetta out ---> Riewoldt (should drop considerably, when is he due back though?), some cheapy in (will leave Rioli, valenti and some cheapy as 7th,8th, 9th forwards)

Option 2:

This week - Rioli, Hill out ---> Chapman, valenti in (will leave tippet, jetta, valenti as 7/8/9 forwards)
1/2/3 weeks time - Houli, Armitage/Wona out ---> Corey/Bartel, some cheapy in (leaving palmer, armi/wona, some cheapy as 6/7/8 midfielders)

Obviously chapman is not going to be getting any cheaper. But at the same time dont really wont to trade rioli out this week as he is playing melbourne. Also, not sure when riewoldt is due back and if he will be consistent enough.

Having said that, option 1 leaves me with better players on the pine. The more I think about this, the more I like option 1.

First of all, save your trade regarding ling. You dont have enough to do this right now.

If you really the need to trade rioli, possibly go option 1. Will leave you with 1 more trade. Out of those I would pick BJ or ROK. Flip of the coin.

As if!!
He played his best game last week

Ok, you are really confident that he will play, think about this for a second:

Yes, he played fantastic and would be mighty stiff to miss but someone has to make way for Stokes because he would be even more stiff to miss out. You'd think Thompson would want to keep Rooke in for Pendlebury. Unless Ling or Mackie doesn't pull up (both are in some doubt), i don't see anyone else making way for Stokes. Maybe Josh Hunt but thats a forward for a backman, will disturb the structure and they would loose probably the number one option for Leon Davis.

Now i'm not saying he definately won't play because i'm not Bomber but you have to be realistic, there is a fair chance it could happen.

I'd take option 2, as I reckon Chapman > Riewoldt, however by the smallest margin.

I have a very similar dilemma. Chappy is as cheap as he will get at the moment. However I think my forward line is close to complete.
Currently i have:

Pavlich
B.Johnson
J.Brown
Riewoldt
Porps
Deledio
Rioli

Obviously Rioli is the player to go, however I think this could be my final forward line (excluding Rioli) as upgrading Porpz or Deledio is not worth it at the moment, and I have room for one last forward gun. The best gun at the moment would be Richo, so even at chappy's cheap price, I may pass and strengthen the midfield with Corey/Bartel/Kornes/Swan instead and wait on Richo dropping a little.

Dont do Volt to Chappy as apparently Volt will be playing this week (according to the news)

I think you misread. We weren't considering volt to chapman, we were considering volt or chapman.

If riewoldt is coming back soon, I may go with option 1, as this leaves me with a very strong team (weakest links in my whole playing 22 will be Palmer, Bradshaw and Rioli).

OR....... Get chappy then in 2 weeks upgrade tippet to riewoldt, leaving me with forwards under 320/330k.
