Falconer02: What do we get in exchange for Kent?

As for my predictions, I'm expecting something like this:

*Geelong INS
David Haynes
and 5 (Give or take 2) smokies

*Geelong OUTS
Kent Kingsley
Bartel (Possibly, couldn't find a reasonable trade, though)
and a list of dead-wood which nobody wants.

What on earth are Carlton giving up to acquire the services of some of those players?

Surely Collingwood could match Carlton for Stevens.

Tenace-- Priority Pick
Heath Black-- Mathew Allan
Steven Paxman-- Andrew Merrington
Nick stevens--Pick up in Pre-season draft
Guerra-- Justin Murphy

i am pretty sure that Bartel will be at the eagles next year

Haynes and second round pick for Bartel and third round pick.
or sumthing like that.

Haynes would be a good addition to the forward line but I don't think we need him. Say we don't get a quality key forward (extremely likely :( ) our forward set up for next year would be:

HF: Kingsley Graham S. Johnson
FF: Riccardi McCarthy Chapman/Ablett

I don't think that Haynes would offer much more than Kinglsey and Riccardi and Johnson would be on par with him. He is certainly not worth trading Bartel for.

Then you have to look at the players we picked up last year and after another pre season they should be pushing for a spot in the side. If selected, Lonergan and Mackie are realistically only going to play as HFF until they fully mature. There is also Gardiner waiting in the wings.

No draft expert here, but you've got Essendon losing there first round draft pick #11, yet picking up Colin Sylvia.....who most people seem to have in the top five for the draft.....doesn't quite make sense:confused:

Dean Solomon and Henneman for Bowden and Pick#6 at Richmond.

If Bartel did decide to head west then I'd be hoping Croad was sent east.

possible trade

Peter Street and Cameron Mooney -> W. Bulldogs

Nathan Brown -> Hawthorn

Jade Rawlings -> Geelong

now that's one of the more realistic trades i have heard. throw in some draft picks to even some things out, and that could happen

Street and Mooney for Brown. Heehee, thats funny. I take it you're throwing in Geelong's #7 pick as well, yeah?

corey mckernan -> geelong
geelongs 6th round pick -> carlton

mckernan is finsihed at carlton and geelong would get him for next to nothing
he is worth a punt up at full forward

I actually agree, probably our second-round pick along with Street and Mooney should suffice.

I certainly wouldn't mind that deal, obviously Bulldogs supporters would, though.

if the Demon trade pick 5 for Nick Stevens it will be a joke
Why?

Stevens is a freak. Not only will he get 25 possessions week in, week out, he is a lovely kick and has good pace.

All the 'franchise' players will be gone by pick 5 (Cooney, Tenace, Sylvia, Bradley).

Why would Geelong be involved in that deal at all? Is it Geelong charity week?

Brown -> Hawks
Rawlings -> Dogs.

everyone is happy in this trade:

- Bulldogs get their ruckman in street which allows them to play darcy more up forward and mooney could be a good FF or CHF for them, which they need.

- Geelong get Rawlings, someone with some real value. As for who they lose, Street who wont play much with King there and Mooney who hasn't done much, that's great for Geelong. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd round pick from the Bulldogs or Hawks to sweeten that out.

- Hawthorn get Brown, someone to kick 50-60 goals. They would love a small forward with talent to play alongside a firing thompson and at worst chuck in a fringe player or low pick to make this whole trade sweet for all clubs.
