Any meat to the rumour of:

Tippett to Swans
Kennedy to Hawks
Rioli to Adelaide
As much as there was when Roughy was in place of roiling in that trade a day ago, and as much as there will be when it's Buddy's turn tomorrow.
People are simply seeing Kennedy as unsigned, assuming we desperately want him and would be willing to give up an elite talent of which we don't have cover for.
October - believe confirmed trades on afl site and absolutely nothing else.

I go to Sports News First for my trade news. That Hagthorn fella is amazing with how much inside knowledge he has.

I certainly would not want Youngy to go. I have been a huge fan of his but he does turn the ball over quite a bit. But with Smith, Savage & Hill all able to play the same sort of role and Birchall, Suckling or even Silk able to play that type of role if switched around, I think we have the cover. As some other have mentioned he is 27ish and he won't get any more durable or skilled with his disposal. Thye negative is if he goes to Collingwood he will be a real weapon. 80 meter players at the Pies will strengthen their side with their contested marking ability.

Young and Bailey we can cover losing and to be honest our cap must be pretty tight so someone's going to have to make way. I hope Savage rediscovers how to kick straight now that he's going to be one of the regular outside mids!

If Bailey goes though I hope he kicks on and has a magnificent career. Poor fella deserves it - I'll admit in that Essendon game when he did his knee again I teared up.

Then why the **** would we let him go. He is much more valuable than that. Premiership player, best 22 of a top 2 team and only mid 20's. Should not accept anything less than 30 for him
Apparently we have offered him a contract but he doesn't like the offer so is looking elsewhere. Not really up to us

The Saints are keen to offload their BJ compo pick.
Also interested in Caddy and Hickey.
The Suns have some interest in a few Hawks (Gilham, Young, Murphy, a ruckman).
Hawks would love a top 15 draft pick.

Let's make a 3-way work.

If it means the Cats get screwed over and miss out on Caddy, where do I sign?

Seems to me the Saints need not get involved.

Yeh but how would we get a pick that is 40+?

Obviously wouldn't be fair compensation
The compo picks are tied to your ladder position like ordinary draft picks. We would get a second round pick for young immediately after our normal second round pick. So if we finish last we would get a pick in the low 20s for young while if we finish first we get a pick in early 40s. Seems quite crap and should have been based on player worth irrespective of ladder position. About pick 30 would be about right.

There's a bit to work with if the Suns do in fact have their eye on Gilham, Young and Murphy. A shuffle of picks, and offloading a player or two...that's going to benefit us immensely.

If you're one of those people who has a twitter account and you've decided that you should tweet Clinton Young and beg him to stay, I can only hope that the next time you're in the servo paying for petrol that you implore the the attendant behind the desk to be happy with his minumum wage and to never looks for greater financial security. Tell him that he needs to be a servo attendant. That he loves being a servo attendant, that his heart bleeds for that role and that you'll miss him very much if he leaves.

In fact, do it to everyone you meet.

Your right.
But since the Saints want Mitch Brown for Cripps, you can now stretch it to a four-way.

Hawks still happy with WC's pick 17.
There must be a Hawk who's interested in playing for the Eagles.
If Eagles lose Brown, maybe Gilham would fit in nicely in their back 6.

Personally, I don't get the pleading. People are either extraordinarily naive, or they're really selfish. Why do they not realise that footballers are professional individuals who must look after themselves and their future just like anyone else? It's beyond me.
