Correct but they should only be judged if they do come back to pre-season unfit, until that point it's just assumption and projection.
If they're the guys we hope they are they better be coming back to pre-season fitter than they were before they left. If they're only interested in improving when they're being forced to we'll continue going nowhere. That's how far behind we are and if they don't know that yet they're morons.

Have a blow out after another tough season but footy careers are short, particularly at North Melbourne. There's very little time to not be working on yourself.

Shaun Higgins would take the boys to Queensland just to train in the off-season. There was a reason he was the best fully rounded midfielder we've had since Boomer, another elite trainer who worked all year round.

We've seen it for years, these fellas are prepared to carry on and dress like AFL footballers but not live like them. Pre-season will reveal all but I reckon we've seen the end of Mr Nice Clarko and some favourites won't be lining up round 1 next year unless they've made big changes.

From the players we've drafted and developed that can actually run it's a joke. Bailey Scott, Kayne Turner, Nick Larkey, Harry Sheezel, Curtis Taylor and Jy Simpkin.

Then we could go on about the guys who are clearly not strong enough in their current position and it would show a similar deficit compared to the rest of the competition.

Enjoy your off-season, it's necessary, but it could also be your last at the club. That's reality.

Rant over.

Remember people - for most of the year these guys represent our club, wear the jumper and are scrutinised more than %99 of the teenagers and 20 somethings around the country are or ever should be.

They are also just young people, on holidays with mates they work with who want to share their Euro holiday experience with friends and family via holiday pics on social media - like almost everyone these days.

Let them be people on holidays. There’s a time to work and a time to play. Play hard so you can work hard.

Chill the **** out and let them be people for a little while.

They can wear the jumper and the unrealistic burden of your expectations and frustrations for the other 9 months of the year.

Otherwise, go back to your boring life and job and stop being so negative about young people enjoying their life like you wish you could.

They'd go to Byron and party too.
