Heard he's running training as it were while Clarko's doing way more 1 on 1 with blokes during the sessions.

27. Miller

Showed why we recruited him last year. Needs another full pre-season as still very slight. This will allow him to defend one-on-one better. When he gets it he looks good. Calm, neat skills and good vision. Fits the run and carry model. We have a few medium sized HBF so he will need to fight for his spot. Reckon he’ll play 10-15 games.

28. Biggie

After being drafted in 2019 and at 22 years old now is the time for Biggie. We are not overburdened with tall defenders so the opportunity is there especially while Griff is injured. Reckon he start behind Kal as the tall, intercepting defender but Corr’s injury opens another door for him. We recruited him for a reason so now is time to repay the faith.

Up here in Not Syria, I went to buy a slab of Cape Grim porterhouse yesterday, asking the butcher to cut in approximately 2cm thick slices for a quick sizzle on the BBQ!

He looked at me confused and asked, "What's your definition of 2cms?"

"Ah, usually 20mm as determined by the metric system." I could still sense his confusion.... "Just go with the width of your thumb, that'll be great!"

The comparisons with Logan McDonald are still odious but Willplhil has now had a full year so the excuse can’t be used for much longer. A breakout year looms once we figure out where he best fits in our stacked midfield. Love the Boomeresque 30m chip to leading forwards. Can go inside and out and win his own ball, just needs a defined role. Bleeds blue and white.

Good write ups Wonderdog, its good to see other peoples views on players and no matter who does it, not everyone is going to agree, plus the time spent on doing it deserves some credit.

The robbing Peter to pay Paul move to the backline might work if it means Chom stays on the paddock. At least it will mean he will run into the back of the opposing forwards rather than the other way round. Raw but plays with real passion. Recorded as the dual fastest player in 2023 so his closing speed should be there. It all depends on how quickly he picks up the defensive game plan and positioning.
