Never in his right position, and only played his preferred position is Haaland was rested/injured.
What's his right position?

Philogene to Ipswich for 21m quid, think Villa have made a profit on him?
Technically yes, because when they bought him back from us their sell on meant they only paid us about 17m. We now have a sell on but I have no idea if it's calculated off the reduced 17m we received or the actual initial transfer fee.

A change of formation to two up front. Cant see it.
he played alongside haaland in 22/23, and dropped deeper last season cos kdb missed 5 months. currently this season haaland has played nearly every minute in the prem and bar 1 game in the cl where he got subbed of at like 60 mins played nearly all mins there too, plus for norway. even the best need a break sometimes.

So by this logic clubs should only have a squad of 11 footballers?

Do you like depth at Liverpool?
No but players know there roles in a club. Marmoush would want to be starting games I assume, as did Alvarez but Haaland is the clear No.1. If he's fit, he plays, obviously he starts all the biggest games. If Marmoush knows he's coming in as a back up it will work. It depends whats being said.

It's the same problem Spurs faced for years with Kane in the forward spot, they want through so many backups as nobody wanted to stick around and barely never play. Same problem with us and RW. We dont really bother with buying RW's. Cos Salah is the man.

But if he knows he's coming in as depth then it's fine. But im sure he will want to be starting games in his preferred position. But it's a moot point, he hasnt joined yet.

I thought Salah was backup to the greatest RW of all time in your words. The wannabe madridista.

We all know what assuming does Jodly.

Marmoush can play across the front three or deeper, like Alvarez, he'll get plenty of playing time.

Yeah feel like Villa have done very well there, but it shows the desperation of teams trying to stay up and paying over the odds a bit more in the Jan window also really.

I think he should have joined Ipswich and probably wanted to join Ipswich, and I have no idea why Villa bought him back and interrupted that sale in the first place. Basically stiffed us out of an extra few million, to basically no advantage to Villa? Like they're basically selling him for what they paid for him - the 3-4m difference doesn't really seem worth it for six months of wages and stunted development for Jaden? And they would have got that 3-4m anyway had we sold him to Ipswich directly and they'd got their sell on that way.

I suppose this way if he excels at Ipswich they get the benefit of any future fee rather than us, stiffing us further.
