More to the point is every single user of SM going to need age verification? Otherwise you'll get kids simply signing up on a bs DOB. To age verify every single SM user would be a paperwork nightmare.
I don't see a way around that. Think everyone will have to verify.

Don't think Messenger will survive - don't you need a Facebook account to have Messenger?

Facebook already has a kids messenger app which is purely messenger. Clearly they anticipated things like this getting passed by governments.

I agree with it in theory, I just don't at all trust the government to get this right.

How hard is it to use a VPN nowadays? There are so many ways to get around this.

I think you're overestimating how tech savvy kids are these days haha, would many kids under 16 even know what a VPN is?

Not all kids who are 16 will have an ID. I guess L plate license would suffice but if a 16 yo does not have his/her L-Plate license what is going to be used for ID verification? Bit much to expect certified copies of birth certificates etc.

Surely passport/Medicare/etc. everyone has some form of ID.

Any that have older siblings I presume. Kids live on devices, how hard do you think it's going to be for some to figure it out and then how quickly will that spread?

All kids will be on a medicare card however that does not have a DOB on it.

All of my kids have a passport. Plenty of kids don't have a passport, never been overseas.

In terms of age verification can only see drivers license/passport/birth certificate being acceptable.

Can't overestimate the cheeky buggers.

My 8 year old figured out that he could reset I-tunes password via resetting the passcode on our family ipad. Did so, changed the password on I-tunes and proceeded to help himself to $80 worth of robucks. And here I was thinking the kids couldn't go and purchase stuff in game unauthorised...

Yeah, there's another thing. EG 16 year old kid on SM. Nothing stopping his younger 13 yo sibling from using that device under the older sibling's accounts. That'll be impossible to police.

But I think that's part of it. Kids these days are all about iPads and smart phones, things like typing skills and computer literacy is actually deceptively poor.

Not for things they actually want though. They're typing skills/computer literacy might be poor compared to a professional work environment but if it's to actually help them rebel against something, they learn.

That shouldn't be the key motivating factor in education for kids lol.

I remember learning to type in primary school. Where's that gone?

I ended up watching the Seinfeld reunion episodes/scenes on Curb. Never watched Curb before. Seinfeld as a TV show worked because it never grossed me out. Yikes.

Curb is incredible. Larry David is a genius.

Maybe it’s because I watched 5-6 episodes out of an entire 120 run, that I had that reaction to it. I did enjoy the Seinfeld stuff. I noticed that Larry Charles was on the show as a creator/executive producer. Good to see LC and LD working again after Seinfeld

He was supposed to have a deal with the left to run parliament. Think this will blow over. Anything to keep the far right like Le Pen out.

Germany is more of a concern, the coalition isn't a coalition there anymore. When nobody has a majority in government that is bad news.

Before or after he installed Barnier? If he cares about Democracy he will name Melenchon PM. France appears to have tired of centrists like Macron.

Agreed re: Germany although both economies look like they are in big trouble.

Among the many things audiences have to look forward to in the new series, Law tells PEOPLE that his character Jod is "someone who uses quick thinking, charm and conversation to get out of all sorts of scenarios."
