The real positive for Boak is that he now knows he can attract votes. At his age, he has every chance of winning Charlie. Not a bad effort considering Port had a 9 game losing streak.

Nah. Don't buy it. Plenty of midfielders have won in good teams. See akermanis and black.

Ablett won by like a gagillion votes last year, and he had chapman and bartel (and if you like, selwood) in the same team as him. Not to mention that he beat swan this year.

Winning so many games made it way easier for Swan to win it than Judd.

The umpires have a different opinion to the stats, and thats how it is.

Good effort from Boaky, but what I hope for in future seasons, is not so much for him to win it, but for us to have 3-4 players who each have >12 votes. Our depth of real quality player has been poor for too long now.

Didn't forget them, just figured 15 (and 13) < 16 so those results weren't relevant to Bernie's question.

Anyway, that was a really good result for Travis. Missed a couple of games with injury, and played through injury as well, and still polled well. I think he'll enjoy playing under a game plan more suited to grass than pixels too.
