The following stats come from an AAP article by Martin Smith that the club put up on its website on Sunday night.

I have adjusted / added in Sunday's game, and from AFL Tables picked up the time of the biggest margin. AFL Tables don't have this info for games before 2001.

Port Adelaide's biggest comeback wins (all time)

=1 41 points (Rd 10 2024 v Haw) Biggest lead:41 (Q3 22m 30s)
1. 41 points (R5, 2013 v WCE)..... Biggest lead:41 (Q3 19m 0s)

2. 40 points (R12, 1997 v WBD)........AFL Tables don't have a time line in 1997 but this was at the end of first quarter score Port 1.4 10 v Western Bulldogs 8.2 50. There was a huge wind that day for first half. Bulldogs only kicked 3 pts in the 2nd quarter. Port won 14.10 v 12.10.

3. 39 points (R14, 2000 v WCE)........ AFL Tables don't have a time line in 2000 but this was during the 2nd quarter. But most it could have been was 38 pts as Port were 9 pts at 1/4 time and West Coast 47 pts at 1/2 time.
=4. 37 points (R10, 2024 v HAW)
=4. 37 points (R18, 2001 v ADE)..Biggest lead:37 (Q2 7m 41s)
6. 34 points (R4, 2011 v ADE)..... Biggest lead:34 (Q2 12m 18s)

My favourite comeback before Sunday night was:
32 points ( Rd 8 Saturday arvo game also on 19th May v NM) Biggest lead:32 (Q4 8m 12s)

Sunday night 3/4 time deficit was 28pts, the 2012 3/4 time deficit was 21pts NM. kicked 3.0 goals to our 1.1, their 3rd goal was at the 8m 12s mark, then we kicked 5.4 to 0.0 to win by 2 pts.

I haven't found it to confirm it, but I'm pretty sure our biggest 3/4 time AFL deficit comeback before Sunday night, was 24pts.

I asked my old mate D_One to do a query on his AFL Tables database and tell me what our biggest 1/2 time deficit comeback game is and what our biggest 3/4 time comeback game was before Sunday night. I already knew what the biggest 1/4 deficit was and its in the above post Rd 12 1997 v Bulldogs 40pts.

He threw in some other stuff, but it confirms all of the above as the biggest comeback games. In email he said;

I only have progress scores from 1999, but it’s the second time we've come from 41 points down to win.

The other time was 2013 round 5 when West Coast was 41 points up at the 19m mark of the 3rd quarter (WC 9.16.70 - PA 4.5.29). 2013 Round 5 Venue: Football Park Date: 27-Apr-2013. I went to that game.

More stats from my mate D_One who sent me all the games that we have come back from 30 pts down to win in our AFL journey.

I know there is a better place for this, but not sure where at the moment so I will stick it here for now. I've added the time marks from AFL Tables.

I wrote back thanking him and said - 9.5 seasons since the last time were able to do it in the Hinkley era.

Its almost like someone has finally fired up the club - Sunday night's result and after finally winning at Geelong after 17 years and 9 consecutive losses down there.

When we were in the shit in 2011 and 2012 we did it twice, then under the Burgo fitness regime twice in 2013 and that 2014 SF against Freo when Robbie Gray dominated the 3rd and kicked 4 goals in the quarter, got us back in front, and everyone jumped on and contributed to a truly great win 4 goal win against the odds.

Hi REH,

We were 32 points down at the 8m 12s mark of the last qtr against North. That said we have coughed up a 47 point lead twice against Brisbane in consecutive years (2008 Round 4 and 2009 Round 21). We also had a 34 point lead at the 6m 59s mark of the last quarter in 2011 Round 23 against Essendon and lost.

These are all the game where we have been 30 or more points down and won.

Hawthorn have had a great spell since being trounced by 'Sydeny' ... If not for Port's miraculous comeback last week, they would be on a 4 game winning streak against good opposition. They jumped Port last week, did the same to Brisbane today, and IMO will test a few more top sides through the year!

The instant reaction to drop the ball whenever tackled is the worse thing in AFL. Umpires seem not to pay that HTB anymore.
If you drop the ball when tackled it's play on but if you drop it attempting a disposal it's HTB.

That was already happening when I started following the game in 2017.
