Had i known there was going to be all of this million dollars a year talk, i would have stayed clear. It often happens with footy players. St Kilda had a pathetic year after the school girl scandal, and their DT scores were affected significantly. Obviously Clokes mind is anywhere but football so far this season.

He has only cracked the century once in 9 games, and with his poultry score of 24 yesterday, his season average is now at a pathetic 74.

What a joke

Question is, what do us Cloke owners do with him? This is worse than anything Broughton has done to his owners. Cloke has lost so much value that trading him is almost pointless. But he hasnt scored past 77 in a month.

Thoughts?

and with his poultry score of 24 yesterday

And yes he's pathetic, but I'm leaving him. There are other areas of the team I can fix up with trades. He'll pull out some big ones in the next two games...hopefully.

Like George Constanza with his stock, I'm going down with the ship baby!
Lost too much on him to trade him out, he is nearly the same price as Smith, at least with Cloke you know he will get some big scores eventually and Smith is probably at his peak. Probably my worst pick in my DT career though.

Big mistake picking him.... he definetly was a premium last year avg 99 i think one of the most expensive forwards.

now what the hell do u do with him trade him and loose alot of money or wait he cant stay like this all season surely

Since I had him from the start and he has been so shit, I was going to trade him to a rd 11 fwd in RD 12 to help with the byes. I don't know if I can wait that long now.

It's strange what money can do to a player. I hope he hasn't already signed a deal and his shit form makes him earn less, but he's probably already signed a 1.5 million a year deal with GWS which is why he's playing so shit.

+1

I've got too many upgrades in mind to waste one on him at this point. I'm holding in the hope he'll regain some form.

He has a tough draw after the bye though. Hopefully he scores well to get his price back up and then I can trade him over the bye.
The problem is the 24 will stay in his 3 round rotation until a week after his bye in round 12 which affects plans to trade him then (which was my plan) since he will almost certainly lose more value even if he scores well in the next 2 rounds. I don't think hoping he scores well in the next 2 rounds is ideal considering his current form but you'd also hate to trade him out only for him to score 2 100's! What a terrible situation

His breakeven is around 140 and he could score that against the Suns and Melbourne.

would have to be the biggest turnaround in form (DT wise) possibly ever???

I'm keeping him simply because there's not alot I can do with him now at his cheap price without burning too many extra trades, unless he gets rested this week. Though surely he "rested" enough in the Adelaide game.

I brought Beams into my mids 2 weeks ago with the intention to trade Cloke to Boyd in RD12 and switch Beams into the FWD spot that Cloke occupies.

He is a premium player...

And his price is looking pretty juicy...

I might think about snapping him up after the byes if he shows he can turn his form around.. If he can get back to scoring 90's he'll be a bargain at 300k could be the perfect 7th FWD in rounds 16+

Yep, very nice F8 option. Think he was averaging around 80 at this time last year.

Hasn't scored a ton against Crows, Cats or Dogs in 5 years so very nice draw to get him to a juicy price.

Prob pick him up this week for the 2 tons before his bye despite the B/E.

Cloke didnt have a massive start to last year either... he only scored 48 when he played the crows in 2011

finished the year alot stronger so proberly worth holding onto for the time being
