Travis Cloke to Fremantle? 1 million offer?

Where would be his best bet of getting set up financially off the field. In Melbourne with one AFL player per square inch or in booming WA like Pav and quite a few others?

Or has that boat already sailed?

Sorry to burst your bubble of thought here Triple H, but you get **** all publicity or endorsements over here unless you wear an Eagles Jumper.

SELFISH GREED and stupidity has caused all this, IT aint right for players, fathers, managers or whoever to demand as much $$$ as they can get in a team sport.

Pendles, Swan and Daisey all wanted more of the sliced up pie knowing full well that eventually their greed would see mid range and fringe players getting squeezed out like Macarthy, Leeroy, Neon & others.

Team harmony goes out the window when good honest battlers are getting scraps and performing just as well as Jolly, Daisey and co. Geelong and Hawks seem to have the right formula of sticking to a system that pays there good players 250/300k, its very good 300/400k and its very best 400/600k.

Pretty sure a bloke at Demonland like Nathan Jones must be scatching his head right thinking How come the club i bleed for thinks Mitch C is worth 800k and me only 300k.
Ridiculously ignorant post.

First of all you don't know what terms Daisy, Pendles and Swanny have accepted, second of all they would have got much more if they decided to leave us and last but not least Collingwood has done the right thing by giving preference to keeping their young stars over a thirty year old finals failure and a fringe player. Leroy has announced his retirement well before the season was over by the way.

I really like this ploy by frementle, we use the free trade agency rule to sow discord within collingwood. Frementle offers 1 mil for cloke and under the agency rule, collingwood has to cough up more money than that to keep him, which they cannot do. In order to keep cloke, they have to offload a player say sidebottom....

Another sad little Collihater, dear oh dear

Envy is a poison sunshine give it up and walk in the light :D

A bit of history:
Fremantle to Pies - James Clement, Brodie Holland, Paul Medhurst (and pick #8 - Ben Reid), Chris Tarrant.
Pies to Fremantle - Chris Tarrant, Jack Anthony

History suggests Pies more likely to swindle Sandilands away from Freo.

Yeah because trying to earn more money is just downright evil. How dare they! They are good enough to earn the big money. If those middle tier players arent good enough, then tough to them. Trying to earn more money for yourself isnt a bad thing.

I hope this is just a ruse..
I'd love for Travis to leave Collingwood just to Piss Eddie etc off, but I don't wan't him taking the field for us - and certainly not for over $600,000.

You think by now the Dockers would know it's better to recruit young players and develop them rather than look for quick fixes from other clubs.

They'd be better off focusing on developing their young KPF's like...

Oh. Carry on.
You mean like how you drafted your current CHF?

Can't really help how that panned out, can we? Anyway, we recruited McInnes last year and Darling the year before that...a few on the rookie list as well (Hamp and McGovern). I think that shows that we place a higher priority on KPPs than you guys do at the draft.

Erm, so what? Point of free agency is that you can get Kennedy-quality forwards without having to pay a high price from a list management perspective (draft picks, players).

I have no doubt all the powerful clubs will investigate this angle - even and probably especially West Coast.

What on earth does any of that have to do with Cloke becoming a free agent

Chick, Stengeiln, Josh Hill are also confused.

That kind of million dollar deal would mean 1m coming in to Freo, not going out :D

Edit: IIRC Freo tried this Woodside type deal when they put an offer to Aaron Davey and it wasn't allowed

LOL - everyone thinking 3rd party deals can't happen without being included in TPP - AFL can do nothing about a club's sponsor employing or contracting certain services of a relative of a player, nor would they ever find out.

That is what Carlton thought. :p
