What is the trey? A slightly taller flanker? He's listed at 193cm and 93kg but i just dont see him in contested marking situations or running through packs...

He's like a team without a gameplan. Even google has problems with working him out

He's got a knack for winning one-on-one contests. That's really hard to teach, it's instinctual more than anything.

He's still a bit reactive when focusing on the player rather than the ball (had a few poor chases) but that can be worked on.

I thought he was really solid overall, the good easily outweighing the bad.

Been saying this.. what we need from a player his size is a bit more aerial and physical presence down back… in saying that he did effect a couple of nice spoils down back last week

But his rebound, and on the run (lowering of the eyes) short kicks are why they see him as more Maynard like than say Murphy

i just see him as low intensity. Will Kelly is much the same although he has at least got a couple of kicks recently in the vfl. Maybe these guys will less inclined to sit back, when they get more experience...

I haven’t seen him mentioned by the usual advocates for some time.

Surprisingly he is the same size as McStay but probably a cheaper option.

Trey was pretty much invisible and not in a good way.

Only Ollie Henry had less impact while playing a tougher position on a day where we were smashed in clearances for much of the game.

Huh? What game did you watch?

Ruscoe was fine. Limited TOG, decent metres gained for his amount of disposals, took some important marks, 3 spoils, 100% disposal efficiency, 3 intercepts.

He didn't win much of the footy, but his linking play was excellent for 8 disposals. I think he gets squeezed out by Moore returning, but invisible is wrong

Didnt make any glaring errors. Actually contested a mark. That surprised me a little bit. He seems to have composure which is a positive.

Since going down back he very rarely makes a mistake. Very safe with ball in hand.
Might be a good option to take the kick outs.

Nick Daicos is a better option, as he’s not going to do much overhead. Nick kicks out and runs on to be the overlap or next link in the chain in space.

I must have watched another game. Ruscoe was solid defensively. He's also composed with ball in hand. Ideally he would be able to play a more attacking role, but our defence is very stretched at the moment. It feels like he was covering a tall forward for portions of the game.

With both Adams and JDG out, I think it's time for Maynard to play midfield. If Moore is back, Ruscoe to Maynard's role and Maynard to replace Adams.

I disagree. We need the defence to hold up given the centre clearance discrepancy we usually endure. Moving Maynard out diminishes our potential to do that.
