Yeah, it's great, hopefully Trey just keeps working hard, will become Howe's long term replacement.

Got better the further the game went but still looks more comfortable playing a role similar to Quaynor/Maynard than having to compete as an undersized tall on the oppositions biggest forwards.

I think Trey Ruscoe is an AFL player. Was v good end of 2021. I still have Murphy ahead of him for his ability to kill contests but Trey offers more offensively.

His second half was excellent. I don't think they'll leave a kid out after that - plus it gets us back to the defensive structure we like of the three playing tall plus Bruzzy.

Given the constant injuries to Howe and Murphy’s concussion history, I think we need to retain ruscoe somehow. He’s played well in the vfl, and got up to speed in his first afl game in a long time. Doing all that can be asked.

He is a offensive run off player who is more suited to smaller matchups as he’s quite quick for his size.

I just hope he doesn’t stay in the line behind Noble and Q.
I think his versatility also makes him and ideal replacement for WHE sometime this year.

The only time I really remember him getting beaten was that dog shit front on contact free. Maybe one other when we get beaten badly on transition, overall he was great defensively IMO and his footskills are a massive asset. He’s a Howe prototype and he needs to stay in the seniors, he’ll only get better with time.
