Did we honestly expect anything different. Somehow we didn’t get f$$ked by the umpires but they’ll still find another way. Club needs to appeal it. The MRO is a joke

Because there will come a time and a player when it does matter. A lot?

And us as a footy club sending a message on a principle of what and what is not an acceptable standard for suspending players is important for when that time comes.

It tells our playing group we have their back if they go hard at the ball within the rules.

Unless the club thinks the MRO got it right, of course.

Agreed, needs to be challenged on principle alone because if left, then we are likely to cop one of these in a final with a critical player.

His arms were free and he didn't drive him into the ground nor was there a slinging action.

The umpire is 1 metre away and paid holding the ball? If it's a suspension than I'd expect that umpire to also be called out and dropped for a incorrect decision?
