I think you're missing the point. The rumour is relevant because Lions are playing poorly & it's being asked if this is the reason.
And btw & separate to this rumour, not everyone does accept cheating as the norm...

The Lions aren’t denying the story, they are just denying there is fallout.

And no, I don't think people in relationships, regardless of who they are should/would just accept cheating.
Not all people are unfaithful dirtbags, no matter what they do for a living.
