Top Gun 2 is actually woke lol, it just doesn't grandstand about it.
Sure the mains are white dudes, but in the crew of fighter pilots, there's a mix of women and men of colour and no shits are made or given about it. It also features a disabled character. The baddies are nationless colourless entities with no identity behind being the targets of a mission.

The first Top Gun was almost unwatchable I can't see any reason to watch a sequel half a century later
Just watch Hot Shots which has better acting, character development and a more coherent plot line

Take away the cool flying stunts and you've got one of the hokeyest plots with predicable tropes (even for the 80's) with a soundtrack that's so of its time

When was the last time the result of a vote was not accepted by the people? This isn’t America you know.
It’s not up to Indigenous people alone to select the new date and I couldn’t think of a faster way of getting everyone else offside than by excluding them from having any input. We should be trying to move forward together. The main thing IMO is that the new date is considerate of them as the current date is blatantly inconsiderate.

The bolded is exactly why it isn't woke.
Woke isn't having a female jump into the pilot seat of a F-18 and being able to hold her own with male pilots, because there is absolutely nothing to suggest that a woman wouldn't be able to do what a man could do in that situation. In the US, 80% of pilots in the air force are male and 20% are female. There have been 22 female Top Gun graduates since Becky Calder was the first female to graduate. So having a female Top Gun pilot was actually realistic.

Before it was co-opted by conservatives and weaponised as a pejorative term, 'woke' simply meant being awake to reality. So if top gun has realistic representation in the cast then it definitely is woke.
Woke gets so overused by people to describe anything they don't like or feel threatened by it's essentially become meaningless. Whenever I see it used unironically I just assume the user doesn't have the words to say what they really mean
