I'm taking you and edgie with me to rural China to eat good and drunk drive pickup trucks on our off days with the local rednecks. Re enacting Wake In Fright in Sichuan Province til we die.

No more Ken Hinkley just adoring worship of Mr Jinping and some real living under the beautiful yoke of Marxist-Leninism

Ken Hinkley is actually a Chinese agent tasked with conditioning us to life under an eternal regime. The tea stunt was just a ruse he loves the stuff!

What we can always rely on in times of crisis is people helping their fellow humans.

We're hearing reports from residents who were evacuated or had their homes destroyed in the LA fires that landlords have been significantly raising the prices for people to get into new and temporary accommodation.

lol my mum is going to India and she needed help with the visa process. I strongly suspect the indian visa portal as being a complete scam.

There were fields that got auto selected as "yes", one of them was asking if you had pakistani heritage of any kind (lol). The english was absolutely awful and the website itself had scrolling text you would have seen in the very early 2000's or late 90's.

Passports had to be uploaded in a PDF but at a maximum size of 300kb (lol we had to compress it twice) and a recent photo against a white background with very specific file size and dimensions at a file size limit of 100kb. Again, compressing required even in jpg.

Then the first time it got knocked back because the photos were too compressed. Then the second time it got knocked back because the auto selected "yes" options had reverted to yes after being selected as no initially. Now for the third attempt. $25 USD per lodgement. I reckon they are just knocking it back to scam more $$.

Then after you go to pay, it says "due to networking and technical difficulties" please don't pay within two days as you may have a duplicate payment (???)

How was my 70 year old mother meant to do this . It's so bad the travel agent refused to do it.

Was one of the questions "Is your name Travis Head?" with an automatic decline if you click yes?

The first question should be: Why the hell do you want to go to India?

My sister and her husband went there on holiday last year for some sort of bucket list reason, which was quite "ambitious" as Dennis Cometti would say, as he has a respiratory condition that requires him to take an oxygen supply with him everywhere he goes, so let's go to the most polluted country on Earth, hey? Their daughter was worried that she'd have to mortgage her home to get his body back to Oz.

South India is best India.

Mumbai and New Delhi are ****ing disgusting shitholes. Even Jaipur, a city with open sewers on every street, was more hygienic than the two major cities. Pollution in Delhi was off the charts and i got extremely sick while there.

Will say though, some of the best food I've eaten in my life was on that India trip.

I lived there for 18 months when I was in the mob.

It’s freaking amazing!! So much going on, so many amazing places.

And that’s before you even start on the low costs and the FOOD!

Fun fact. For the first week of 2020 (remember then?) Canberra was the most polluted city in the world, courtesy of the south cost fires. Smoke hung around for weeks, and official government advice was not to go out...

Disgusting but not surprising, especially given the commentary around 'the rich deserve it' etc. you're seeing in social media platforms.

Fighting of large scale bushfires is reliant on community wide support and cooperation in the US almost as much as it does in Australia. What happens if that underlying social cohesion is torn apart?

And just heard on a news report that one of those Canadian ocean water 'super scooper' fire bombers I posted in a previous video is out of action because someone thought it would be a good idea to send up a private video drone over the fires and it collided with the tanker, causing some structural damage.
