I've found the Oxford comma is useful and adds clarity more often than not
Saves re-writing things a lot.
Janks the flow of the list at the end. Reads bad. Only use if necessary but you can probably re-arrange a list or just format the sentence differently to avoid confusion on the reader's part.

How cool is that council raising rates by 40%. Abolish councils completely. ****ing hell. Wouldnt even consider efficiency measures.
When I was living in the UK, my local Borough had 58 elected councillors. I never worked out if those 58 where collecting the bins or it took all of them to organise for someone else to collect the bins.

Sort of torn on a rate cut. I think they need to hold firm just a little longer. Not that i'm convinced the CPI is a good indicator of how ****ed prices are.
The reserve bank cutting interest rates pre-covid because inflation was too low (!) is guillotine worthy negligence.

I understand why but the social, media and political pressure to cut rates is wild given the obvious knock on impacts to the already low AUD, house prices and inflation. A 25bps interest rate cut saves the average household less in year 1 than the difference between a 2% and 3% inflation rate. And that’s before factoring in related import and housing price increases and compounding.

You know that's twice now people have reference supposed 128kbps MP3 rips recently, and I don't even know where that comes from but it isn't even correct... It's literally wrong on both fronts.

Someone called up Triple M this morning to drop a rumour regarding the position of Port Chairman. Caller had word that for this season, Koch out, Darren Cahill in, surely to good to be true?

It's been floated elsewhere it wouldn't be this season anyway Darren isn't leaving the tennis coaching circuit for another 12 months.

Isn't it the same stuff as Crown Lager, ie sold here as Crown Lager and exported to the Poms as Foster's - or is than just an urban myth?
When I worked for a company back in the 1980's at Underdale in SA that had CUB as a tenant and also supplied their warehouse staff I was told by their Victorian sales manager that when batches of Fosters were brewed the best tasting one was labelled as Crown Lager.

Don't know about the export bit, and I can't recall which ground the game was played at but when I watched a domestic T20 cricket match on late night tv from England 6 months or so back there were a number of Fosters advertising boards around the ground, which could suggest it is still popular in some areas of the UK.

I blame Barry Humphries.

I bet Trump's first question was whether that Blackhawk pilot was DEI...

Donald Trump Ridiculed for Suggesting the Washington, D.C., Plane Crash Could Have Been Caused by DEI Hiring

President Donald Trump was mocked on social media after he suggested that diversity, equity and inclusivity (DEI) initiatives within the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Transportation could have caused the Washington, D.C., plane crash.

During Trump's first press conference after a plane carrying 60 passengers and four crew members collided with an Army helicopter while landing at Ronald Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C., the president was asked by a reporter if he was saying this crash was caused as a result of diversity hiring.

He responded, "It could have been."

You only need to watch an english show where characters go to a pub to see that it's always on taps, or even in James Bond's lounge room
