Nah Focaccias took off in the early 90s. Places like Alfressco and Boltz in Rundle Street sold them by the truckload.

How the Focaccia! in the markets and KW Road set the trend.

"Greenpeace’s focus on political activism and its championing of Extinction Rebellion has sparked behind-the-scenes pressure on ministers to abolish its lucrative taxpayer-funded concessions.

It comes as Cabinet Minister Matt Canavan declared that “free speech doesn’t necessitate free funding”.

Queensland LNP Senator James McGrath has asked Assistant Minister for Finance, Charities and Electoral Matters Zed Seselja “as a matter of urgency” to review why Greenpeace holds deductible gift recipient status (DGR), which allows donations by taxpayers to be refunded at tax time.

DGR costs the Federal Budget an eye-watering $2 billion a year."

Guess we'll see how much people care about the environment when the money to support it doesn't come out of the pocket of the Australian taxpayer.

Article is about the DGR status of a single organisation, then quotes entire annual DGR cost, not that of said organisation. #journalism

Meanwhile the various religious institutions and their political activisim has no effect on their tax deductable status regardless of how many children they molest.
The libs once again trying to take out anyone who speaks out on their behavior.
They tried for Get Up, going after Greenpeace and always after the unions.
Meanwhile brown paper bags await anyone who helps them knowing full well they'll never be held to account for their behavior.

The original Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch has passed away. What a contrast He was still doing their voices until last year.

Just heard a story on ABC Radio's The World Today in tribute to him. Very touching. From 19.25 in the podcast embedded in the link.
