Saturday Disney obviously just finished

When James Sherry (Saturday Disney, A*Mazing) turned up on Blue Heelers playing a flamboyant hairdresser who is murdered with a pair of scissors.

Wholly Crows owned now,so they’ve lost me.

Handy travel tip(s) - if you don't speak Japanese - print out the address(s) of where you'll be staying and keep it with you. If you get lost you can always show it to someone or hand to a taxi driver to get you home. Also, I'd always purchased about $100 worth of little clip-on koala's and other small souvenirs (Adelaide Souvenir Wholesalers - 113 Mullers Rd Hamstead Gardens was the cheapest place to buy them) and handed them out like candy to anyone who helped me. Always appreciated. If you need to ask someone for assistance I tended to approach a younger person (kids and teenagers), a lot speak decent english and whilst a little shy to begin with really enjoy being able to practice with an actual english speaking person. Japanese are very polite and accommodating and appreciate the same in return. Check out Akihabara if you like electronics, toys etc. If on your own stay away from bars etc in the Roppongi district - not sure what its like now but several years ago (early 2000's) was dominated by the Yakuza (Japanese mafia). Otherwise, you'll be fine - just enjoy the experience.

Will be going with a mate of mine. Staying in an Air BnB in the Ota-Ku area. Its about a 40 minute train ride from the city center but the accommodation ended up being really cheap and at a high standard. Have ordered a pocket wifi too that we'll pick up at the airport so will use that to access google maps to find our way around.

Cheers for the tips, much appreciated :thumbsu:

The app for the trains is amazing and of course accurate to the second!
Tells you where to get off etc. as well.

Yo have of course ordered your rail card. It has to be done outside the country.

Thats the JR Rail Pass I believe you're talking about, for the bullet trains. I'm not going to be going outside of Tokyo during this trip so I didnt pick it up this time round. Just going to use their version of the metro card (suica/pasmo) and use regular trains.

Where the bloody hell is raman ? ruok

What's been going on? I'm guessing Forza is still Forza-ing his pants on the regular and Janus has converted to Christianity on account of Kanye's latest album?

You can also use the Suica card in vending machines, convenience stores etc. which are everywhere.

If you don't already have one it's good to get a power bank (i.e. Anker Powercore) if you're out for a long day you can recharge the pocketwifi as well as your phones. You can buy cheaper (AA battery powered) ones at their convenience stores

- Janus is communicating with ghosts, making a video game and sparring with El Scorcho, Schulzenfest and tribey.
- Us Against the Rest is gonna give himself an embolism in his quest to sack Hinkley.
- edgie is still banging on about The Last Jedi (and is still horribly wrong about this heartbreaking work of staggering genius.)
- Jimmy hates everything except analogue pr0n.
- Eddie Dingle became a Melbourne w@nker and is now best mates with Dylan who lives in the guest house at Casa del Dingle.
- Encyclopaedia REH
- Arsene Wenger maintains he’s not Warren Tredrea (but we all know he is.)
- finbarr maintains the rage against ChadBro.
- Tibbs! Loves! Exclamation! Marks!
- smithy refuses to believe anything anyone posts unless they provide a link.
- raptalia reliably updates us on what’s in the Monopoly Times.
- OGC reliably updates Feel every time he listens to 5AA.
- Feel shitposting memes like a muh f@%ka.
- Portia is taking out the trash in every thread.
- thundercloud wreaking havoc in every thread they post in.
- Teal Plums hits you up with a random like months after you’ve forgotten said shitpost.
- Pretty much everyone wants Ken, KT & Kochie, along with our co-captains, to ride off into the sunset on the f@%king Ca$h Cow.
- The “you won’t believe what he said” gag refuses to die.

Pretty typical really...
